On April 16, the final of the 3rd "Nursing Dream Burning" Basic Skills Competition for New Nurses of the Nursing Department was successfully held in the Clinical Training Center. With the theme of "Strengthening the Foundation, Improving Quality, and Promoting Development", the competition aims to thoroughly implement the requirements of the "Action Plan for Further Improving Nursing Services (2023-2025)", take the "three bases and three stricts" as the starting point, adhere to the post, consolidate the basic skills of clinical nurses' nursing technology, and comprehensively improve the level of nursing services. Among the 165 newly recruited nurses in 8 districts, 19 outstanding contestants participated in the finals, and the judges of the competition were Zhang Binbin, member of the Party Committee and director of the nursing department of the hospital, Zhu Linlin, deputy director of the nursing department, head nurses of each district and the teaching and training team of the nursing department.

In the finals, the electronic scoring system of the clinical training center was used, and the three-station assessment method was adopted, and 6 of the 27 common clinical nursing operation techniques were randomly selected according to the "Training Outline for New Nurses (Trial)", and the participants were selected by lottery for the final assessment. The purpose of the whole final is to improve the nursing concept of new nurses, focusing on the comprehensive quality of theoretical knowledge, skill operation, clinical thinking ability, humanistic care, etc., and effectively ensure that the nursing concept of "standardization, safety, quality and efficiency" is integrated into clinical practice.
The competition scene was tense and orderly, and the contestants were calm, skillful and agile, full of spirit, and high morale, which fully demonstrated the full mental state and good professionalism of the rising stars in the nursing career. After fierce competition, Ma Yue on the 12th floor of the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine won the first prize, He Yuhang in the emergency ward and Li Yaxin on the first floor of the pediatric department won the second prize, and Li Lingling in the first ICU, Xie Qiumin in the EICU and Ren Shuchang in the delivery room won the third prize.
