On April 20th, the "Volvo Car Cup" China Tennis Elite Team Invitational Tournament opened at the Shenzhen Tennis Center, where 36 teams from famous universities and elite enterprises across the country gathered together to present a wonderful and fierce tennis feast to help the first stop of the tournament end perfectly.
With the strong support of elite enterprises such as "Volvo Cars" and local tennis associations, in order to further expand the influence of the event and cover more tennis elites, the original Tsinghua EMBA Tennis Team Invitational Tournament was officially renamed as the "China Tennis Elite Team Invitational Tournament" when the 2024 event set sail, ushering in a new milestone in the development of the event.
In 2024, the Shenzhen event invited 12 EMBA tennis teams from well-known colleges such as Tsinghua University, Renmin University of Chinese, Fudan University, Sun Yat-sen University, and Hong Kong Chinese University, 12 university teams from Tsinghua University, Peking University, Wuhan University, Xi'an Jiaotong University, Jilin University, etc., as well as Shenzhen University Aurora Dasheng, A total of 36 teams from 12 elite enterprises, including CGN Zhike and Shenzhen Qianhai Zhongcheng Seiko, opened a huge amateur tennis feast.
After the opening of the competition at 9 o'clock in the morning, the players of each group took turns to compete in the arena. Under the well-designed team competition system of the event, the players must fight for every point and grab every ball, and the multi-round holding of the bottom line and the short soldiers in front of the net do not give in to each other, and a good ball attracts bursts of cheers from the field, and the atmosphere of the event continues to enter the climax with the deepening of the round.
In the end, after a day of fierce competition, the Fudan University EMBA Tennis Association and the Lanzhou University EMBA Tennis Team tied for the EMBA Group Championship, the University Institution Group won the championship by the China General Nuclear Power Institute Tennis Team and the Guangdong University of Technology Alumni Tennis Team. At the post-competition dinner, the organizing committee held a grand award ceremony in the Century Building of the Pavilion Hotel, thanking the teams for coming from afar, and also awarding trophies and medals symbolizing honor to the winning teams and players, and presenting exquisite prizes provided by sponsors.
The tournament was hosted by the Beijing Tennis Ju Qiankun Sports and Culture Development Center and the Tsinghua EMBA Tennis Association.
