In order to further strengthen the ideological and political education of children and teenagers, conscientiously implement the system and mechanism of party building and team building, accelerate the construction of youth-friendly growth cities, and educate and guide the majority of children to inherit the red gene and strive to be new people of the times. On April 20, 2024, the preliminary round of the 2024 "Red Story I Will Tell" Little Commentator Contest jointly organized by the Weng'an County Committee of the Communist Youth League, the Weng'an County Federation of Literary and Art Circles, the Weng'an County Education Bureau, the Weng'an County Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism Bureau, the Working Committee of the Organs directly under the Weng'an County of the Communist Party of China, the Office of the Weng'an County Working Committee for the Care of the Next Generation, and the Weng'an County Young Workers Committee were successfully held in Weng'an No. 2 Middle School, with more than 200 young people from 6 to 14 years old from the county participating in the competition.
The contest is divided into two groups according to the age of the contestants, A and B, and the contestants explain the stories and historical deeds of these characters around the red cultural resources such as the site of the Monkey Field Conference, the former residence of the martyr Shu Baochu, the former residence of the martyr Leng Shaonong, the Zhuzang Tongzipo Peasant Association, and the Red Army slogan group of Tianwen Datang. After fierce competition, 22 players advanced to the finals.
