Hongshan buckwheat, a special product of Pinglu District, Shuozhou City, which has been planted for 800 years, has excellent quality, full particles, rich "selenium" content, protein and amino acid content ranks first among similar products in China, and enjoys a high reputation in the international market. In 2008, the Ministry of Agriculture of the People's Republic of China officially approved the registration and protection of geographical indications for agricultural products for "Hongshan buckwheat".
On the occasion of the 24th World Intellectual Property Day, the People's Procuratorate of Pinglu District visited "Musen Agriculture and Animal Husbandry", the production base of "Hongshan Buckwheat" in Pinglu District, and carried out a legal popularization campaign with the theme of "Protecting Geographical Indications and Guarding Trade Secrets". In the process of publicity, the procurator learned about the production of products and the use of geographical indications, inquired about the legal needs of the enterprise, introduced the relevant legal provisions such as the Trademark Law, the Criminal Law and the Anti-Unfair Competition Law to the staff of the enterprise, and gave a reminder of intellectual property risks, which achieved good results.
In recent years, the Pinglu District People's Procuratorate has improved the comprehensive performance capacity of intellectual property prosecution by optimizing the case-handling team and establishing a coordination and cooperation mechanism.
