On April 20, Thai Prime Minister and Finance Minister Saita posted in both Thai and English through his personal social media account, expressing deep concern about the situation along the border with Myanmar. Saita said that he has been closely following the conflict situation in the area of the Thai-Myanmar Friendship Bridge since the early hours of this morning and is very worried.
He therefore wished to confirm here that he did not want the conflict to affect the territorial integrity of Thailand or to violate sovereignty in any form. Thailand stands ready to provide humanitarian assistance in case of need, while also being prepared to protect the safety of the Thai people.
