It is understood that the wood hydrangea originated in the court of the Song Dynasty, bloomed in late spring, and the flower language means romance and loyalty. Hydrangeas are a fresh green color at first, but over time they slowly turn white and dot the branches.
At present, a total of 19 hydrangea trees have been planted in Yingzhou Park, the largest of which is 40 years old, mainly distributed around Moon Lake and Chen Lake, and the flowering period is concentrated in mid to late April. However, the relationship between the two is indeed wonderful, Qionghua is one of the varieties under the name of Hydrangea, although the appearance is very similar, but it can still be distinguished from the stamens, flower color and inflorescence.
"Wood hydrangea is a barren flower, there is no stamen, except for a circle of infertile flowers on the side, the middle is a fertile flower, it is with stamens.
