On April 18, a key breakthrough was made in the construction of the Lugu Lake Bridge on the G7611 Xichang-Shangri-La (Sichuan) Expressway - the "U" shaped rotary tunnel anchor was officially entered, marking that the construction of the control project has entered the main construction stage.
The Lugu Lake Bridge is one of the nine super projects of the Xixiang Expressway and the only passage to Lugu Lake, Shangri-La and Muli.

Xixiang Expressway is a key project of the "14th Five-Year Plan" of the national transportation power and an important component section of the G7611 line from Duyun to Shangri-La Expressway. After the project is completed and opened to traffic, it will form a convenient access to the sea in Xichang, the largest satellite launch base in Asia, ending the history of Yanyuan County and Muli County in Liangshan Prefecture not being connected to the expressway, which is of great significance for improving the Sichuan-Yunnan expressway network and promoting the high-quality economic development of Panxi area.
