The person who can write such a poem must be from a poor family in our impression, otherwise he would not be able to understand the hard work of the peasants so well, but the fact is often unexpected, Li Shen was born in a family of eunuchs, although his living conditions are not rich and noble, but they also belong to the level of food and clothing.
But when he was 6 years old, his father died of illness, which also made his life with his mother difficult, but the young Li Shen had his own ideals and ambitions, and served the country wholeheartedly. The two poems of "Compassion for Nong" were written by him on the way to the exam.
"There is no idle land in the four seas, and the farmers are still starving to death", "Who knows that the Chinese food on the plate is hard work", this is exactly what Li Shen felt in his heart at this time, what he saw in front of him, and the status quo that he wanted to work hard to change.
As soon as you enter the office, it is as deep as the sea
Li Shen entered the official career after high school, he started from the most basic work, but because he was dissatisfied with the oppression of officialdom, he resigned angrily and returned to his hometown. At this time, Li Shen's popularity was already very high, and soon Li Qi, who was a member of the royal family, threw an olive branch to him, but Li Shen found that he was not subservient, so he staged a story of "being in Cao Ying's heart in Han".
After Li Qi was defeated and arrested, Li Shen was also reused by the imperial court and rose to prominence. But at that time, the party struggle in the imperial court was serious, and every official could not be left alone, and Li Shen was no exception, and soon he joined Li Deyu's party, and the cruelty of the party struggle also changed Li Shen's mentality.
Forget your original intention and become a cool official
With the promotion of official positions, Li Shen began to change, he no longer cared about the suffering of the world, but turned his attention to only his own pleasure and lived a luxurious life. He even compared refugees to wheat bran, calling them untouchables who would just go with the wind. has completely forgotten the original intention of writing "Compassion Nong" when he was a teenager.
In his later years, Li Shen was flattering, and even wantonly curtailed officials and dignitaries for his own career, disregarded people's lives, and created unjust cases. And Wu Xiang, who had contradictions with Li Deyu, became a victim of Li Shen's befriending Li Deyu and was killed by him in an unjust case.
Fortunately, people are watching the sky, Li Shen's shamelessness and cruelty have finally been duly punished, the court for Wu Xiang to rebel, and finally get the wrongs, although Li Shen has died, but is still deprived of everything, including family property, titles, and even his descendants are not allowed to be officials for generations to come.
This is the truth that the Chinese teachers dare not tell us, Li Shen's mentality when he wrote "Compassion for Nong" was indeed to understand the suffering of the people and have the heart to ask for the people's lives, but the ups and downs of the sea finally made him lose his original intention and step into the abyss.
It is very rare for a person to stick to his original mission, and Li Shen finally paid the price for what he did.
