On April 19, Xigu District held a joint meeting on youth work and a meeting to promote the construction of a youth development city, which conveyed and learned the spirit of the sixth plenary meeting of the inter-ministerial joint conference on the implementation of the national medium and long-term youth development plan, the spirit of the fifth plenary meeting of the joint conference on youth work in Gansu Province and the spirit of the fifth plenary meeting of the joint conference on youth work in Lanzhou City. The meeting comprehensively reviewed and summarized the work of building a youth development city in Xigu District in 2023 from four aspects, and studied and deployed the work tasks in 2024. The leaders in charge of the Xigu District Party Committee attended the meeting and delivered speeches, and some member units of the District Leading Group for the Construction of Youth Development Cities attended the meeting.
The meeting pointed out that the construction of a youth development city is a concrete action to fully implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important thoughts on youth work, an important carrier to accelerate the construction of a beautiful Lanzhou in the new era, and a powerful starting point for in-depth promotion of the development of "strong industrial zone, industrial rejuvenation of the city, and integration of industry and city". The whole region should focus on the "five major actions" of youth growth, youth friendship, youth promising, youth love, and youth vitality, so as to make Xigu more friendly to young people and young people to be more productive in Xigu.
The meeting emphasized that first, we must improve our political position, and pay more attention to our thinking and clarify our tasks. Third, we must unite our work to achieve the implementation of responsibilities and the improvement of results. Firmly establish the work idea of "one network" and "one game of chess" in the whole region, find the combination point and entry point of their respective work, take the initiative and cooperate with each other, implement all tasks and indicators to the letter, and develop stronger youth momentum in the process of in-depth promotion of "strong industrial zone, industrial rejuvenation of the city, and integration of industry and city".
