She said that according to the data of Thailand's digital website, 63.21 million people in Thailand currently use the Internet, using an average of 7 hours and 58 minutes a day, and the most commonly used platforms are Facebook, LINE and TikTok, while the proportion of Thai people using e-commerce platforms to buy products and services is as high as 66.90%.
In addition, she further said that the popularity of e-commerce is growing in tandem with the number of registrations of e-commerce businesses. Up to now, there are 7,393 e-commerce enterprises in operation in Thailand, with a registered capital of 43,704.22 million baht. The market size of Thailand's e-commerce business reached 634 billion baht in 2023, which is expected to increase to 694 billion baht in 2024, with an average annual growth rate of about 6%, and is expected to increase to 750 billion baht in 2025.
