More than 200 guests, including the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, John Lee, the Acting Financial Secretary, Mr Michael Wong, and the Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry, Mr Sun Dong, attended the kick-off ceremony to witness the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Parks Corporation Limited and the representatives of enterprises, officially becoming a partner organization of the Hong Kong Park of the Shenzhen-Hong Kong Innovation and Technology Co-operation Zone in the Loop.
It is understood that the Hong Kong Park of the Shenzhen-Hong Kong Science and Technology Innovation Co-operation Zone in the Loop (Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park) has signed a memorandum of understanding with the first batch of 59 institutions to establish a partnership. The signatories include enterprises, schools and research institutes from Hong Kong, the Mainland, Europe and North America, with an estimated investment of more than HK$1 billion and thousands of job opportunities.

The Chief Executive Officer of the Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park (HKITP) revealed that the six pillar industries that the park focuses on include life and health technology, artificial intelligence and data science, new energy, new materials, microelectronics and robotics. Among them, 45% came from the pillar industries of the park, such as life and health technology, new energy and microelectronics.

Subsequently, the Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park announced the first phase of the Hong Kong Park of the Loop Co-operation Zone (i.e. the Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park) and the latest construction progress on its official website.
Step by step, more than half a year has passed since the release of the Hetao plan.
Up to now, more than 400 science and technology enterprises have gathered in the Shenzhen Park of the Hetao Cooperation Zone, more than 160 high-end scientific research projects have been substantially promoted and implemented, and the world's top 500 R&D centers, major national scientific research platforms, Hong Kong university research institutions, key core technology research projects, Shenzhen-Hong Kong "unicorn" enterprises, and international industry and standards organizations have gathered and developed.
There is also good news for the Hong Kong Park of the Loop Co-operation Zone. At the time of "attracting investment", the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, John Lee, revealed that before the end of this year, the first three buildings in the park will be completed one after another, and the Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park will enter the operation stage.
