International oil prices rose slightly on the 18th. By the end of the day, light crude futures for May delivery on the New York Mercantile Exchange rose 4 cents, or 0.05 percent, to settle at $82.73 a barrel, while London Brent futures for June delivery fell 18 cents, or 0.21 percent, to settle at $87.11 a barrel.
