On the afternoon of the 19th, upstream news reporters saw at the exhibition site that the organizers set the theme of the final report exhibition of this year's young artist-in-residence as "2 kilometers away from the city". "This emphasizes the concept of a physical space. Originally, it referred to the location of the Sichuan Fine Arts Institute: two kilometers from the Chongqing Ring Expressway, on the edge of the central city. "On multiple levels such as space, time, and psychology, this indicates a subtle position, maintaining a certain sense of distance from the center, the edge, the past, and the future. This is also a metaphor for the overall state of the young artists resident at the Sichuan Fine Arts Institute.

Walking into the exhibition hall, a variety of works that are both youthful and sharp are dizzying. For example, the oil painting "Kite" brought by the young artist Cao Dandan seems to be a screenshot of the scene of a kite hanging by a tree branch outside the school teaching building, which everyone is very familiar with. But in Cao Dandan's view, this is a direct and pure portrayal of his childhood that he has always envied. "I have always been painting with the theme of 'childhood and memory', and when I paint scenes such as childhood past and games, I always try to go back to my childhood and talk to myself through time and space. ”
