In the previous men's double three-meter springboard final, the Chinese pair Wang Zongyuan/Long Daoyi led the way and won the championship with a total score of 474.75 points. Mexico and Great Britain finished second and third respectively, with 420.81 and 403.89 points, respectively.

In the men's double 10m platform final, China's Yang Hao/Lian Junjie won the gold medal with a total score of 472.92 points, the British pair Daley/Williams won the silver medal with 440.37 points, and the German pair Battle/Aikmann-Gregorchuck won the bronze medal with 393.09 points.

In the women's double 10-meter platform final, the Chinese combination Quan Hongchan/Chen Yuxi won the championship with 364.86 points and 68.76 points ahead of the second place, winning a good start for the Chinese team. The Canadian and Ukrainian pairs won the silver and bronze medals respectively.
The only event without a Chinese athlete - in the women's two-person three-meter springboard final, Australia's Gini/Smith, the United States' Bakken/Cook, and Italy's Bertoqui/Peracani won gold, silver and bronze medals respectively.
