Cherish life and prevent drowning risk awareness, drowning accidents often occur in unexpected situations. On April 19, 2024, a group of 5 members of the Yunnan Honghe Maitreya Area Service Team of Dongwang volunteers were invited by the secretary of the Hongyan Community of the Miyang Town Sub-district Office of Maitreya City to do safety persuasion work for swimmers coming to Qinglai Park.
At 8 o'clock in the morning, the volunteers arrived at Qinglai Park on time, and under the simple arrangement of the community secretary, they began to get busy. There are few swimmers in the morning, so I can't help but find a broom and a dustpan to clean up the park, and clean up all the garbage and fallen leaves.
Volunteers quickly identify places and waters where there may be a higher risk of drowning, and alert unsupervised waters, deep water areas, and unfamiliar environments. Summer is approaching, and drowning prevention has always been a hot topic of safety in the swimming pool of Qinglai Park. In Qinglai Park in Maitreya City, every year there are primary and secondary schools who come to swim to die in the swimming pool, accidents occur, of which drowning is the first accidental death.
Safety first, prevention before it happens. In the hot weather, most of the swimmers are elderly and children, so volunteers work by the pool to persuade and stop swimming. They sincerely persuaded and comforted the people who came to swim and the children who did not have adults to take pictures of swimming, and said to the children gently: "Cherish our life! Life is precious, and everyone has only one life, and it is not like wealth that can be lost and regained, nor is it like leaving the grass on the plain and starting again." Whoever loses his life is not only losing everything himself, but also leaving a trauma on the soul of his living relatives. Therefore, we must always be vigilant to cherish life and prevent drowning. Drowning accidents can have irreparable consequences for families, causing irreparable damage. ”
Volunteers must make everyone fully aware of this, deeply understand the harm of drowning accidents, and stay away from dangerous places, so as to avoid drowning accidents. Red Smoke Community United Volunteers have won praise from many people for guarding the safety of everyone who comes to swim.
