On April 17, with the box girder about 25 meters long and weighing about 81 tons accurately erected on the Lianhuashan overpass, it marked the completion of the erection of the box girder of the Lianhuashan overpass of the Jianghe high-speed reconstruction and expansion project undertaken by the 18th Bureau of China Railway, and the project realized the two-way construction of the bridge and tunnel, laying the foundation for the rapid progress of the project construction.
The task of erecting the beam was successfully completed
Jianghe Expressway is located in Jiangmen City, Guangdong Province, connecting the main urban area of Pengjiang in Jiangmen with Fokai Expressway and Zhongjiang Expressway, of which the total length of the reconstruction and expansion project is about 19 kilometers. China Railway 18th Bureau undertakes the construction task of TJ01 bid section, with a total length of 5.09 kilometers, and the Lianhuashan overpass that completes the girder erection task is the pilot project of the new Lianhuashan Tunnel, which is a key control project of the whole line.
The Lianhuashan overpass is located in the hilly flat land and depression landform, with large undulating terrain, distributed planting land and factory buildings, and needs to cross Mulang Avenue and the new Zhuhai-Zhaozhou high-speed rail tunnel. The bridge is separated and built a new bridge, the left width of the bridge is 315.6 meters long, 20.25 meters wide, the right width is 280.6 meters long, 20.25 meters wide, the superstructure adopts 20 meters, 25 meters first simply supported and then the bridge deck continuous composite box girder, the substructure pier adopts the conventional column distance cylindrical pier, wherein the 2nd and 3rd span beams cross Mulang Avenue, and the 12th span beam crosses the village road, and the construction is difficult.

In order to complete the task of erecting box girders of Lianhuashan overpass with high quality and efficiency, the project teams of the three companies actively practiced the concept of "benchmarking world-class and deepening value creation", organized and held special meetings for many times, and optimized the special construction plan for the installation and erection of box girders. At the same time, the project team continued to deepen the concept of fine management of the project, scientifically organized and carefully arranged, continued to increase the investment of various resources, and promoted the construction tasks in a safe, high-quality, rapid and orderly manner on the premise of ensuring the quality of the project, ensuring the successful completion of the erection of the box girder of the Lianhuashan overpass.

Since 2023, the project team has successively completed a number of node tasks such as the pouring of the first piece of the second lining of the new Lianhuashan Tunnel and the erection of the left box girder of the Lianhuashan overpass.

It is reported that after the project is completed and opened to traffic, it will effectively break through the traffic bottleneck in the region, improve the traffic capacity of the road network, and jointly undertake the traffic flow to the west of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Corridor with the Zhongkai Expressway, so that Jiangmen, Zhongshan, Zhuhai and the metropolitan area on the west bank of the Pearl River Estuary will be more closely connected, which is of great significance for promoting the economic development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
