I've lived in this small town for most of my life, and I've been running around outside to make a living. In the past, everyone had the same schedule in the factory, but since I was laid off, I have chosen to work flexibly and work for myself. This kind of life is indeed free, but it is also full of uncertainty.
From the day I was laid off, I knew I had to plan for the future. Pension, for those of us who do not have a regular job, is an important guarantee for life in old age. So, from that day on, I would pay my pension insurance on time every month. In this way, eighteen years have passed.
Recently, when I reached retirement age, I went to the Social Security Bureau to go through the retirement procedures. The staff told me that my pension is XXXX yuan per month. My brain was buzzing and I couldn't believe it. This is what I have been doing for 18 years, and this is the source of my future life?
Eighteen years sounds like a long time, but it's actually gone by in the blink of an eye. I remember when I first started paying bills, every time I went to the bank, it was a challenge. In those years, it was much harder to make money than now, and the family's expenses were also large. But gritting my teeth, I still persevered, in order to have something to rely on in my old age.
I used to envision my life after retirement, and I imagined that I could live freely every day without worrying about financial pressure. But the current numbers do make me a little disappointed. I didn't expect that after so many years of hard work, I would end up with such a result.
When I got my pension, I didn't know what to do. I want to talk to someone, but I don't know what to say. And just like that, I sat at home alone, looking at the number, and my heart was mixed.
Later, I talked to a few old colleagues about it. Their situation is similar to mine, and some are even inferior to me. We lamented the helplessness of life and comforted each other. But to be honest, I still feel a little unwilling.

Eighteen years of payment is not long, but it is not short. But I believe that every experience makes us more mature and stronger. Even if my life is not what I imagined, I will continue to work hard for the future of myself and my family.
