Among the many foods, pure milk can be regarded as a "model life" - 100% raw milk, rich in protein and calcium without additives, and more importantly, the price is not expensive, and one cup a day is stress-free.

But...... Why is it that it's all 100% raw milk, different brands of pure milk in different countries, but the taste is different?

In fact, this is largely because the major brands of milk will be different in the milk source and the breed of cows. Today, we will take a look at which "cow labor models" are serving us.

First of all, to clarify a concept, we often say "cows", refers to specially bred cows to produce milk, not a certain breed of cattle. There are nearly 100 dairy cattle breeds in the world, the most famous of which are the following.

1

The "star" of the dairy industry, the world's largest number of raised, the highest milk production, the most familiar "black and white flower" cow, is my Holstein cattle.

I originally lived in the Netherlands, but because of my strong ability to survive, most countries in the world can raise them, and after long-term domestication and systematic selection in various countries, I have my "relatives" all over the world.

For example, China's highest milk producing cow, the Chinese Holstein dairy cow, was gradually formed by cross-breeding with Chinese cattle at the end of the 19th century.

Trivia: There are no 2 Holstein cows with exactly the same black and white pattern.

Jersey

The "Most Beautiful Cow" with both talents and looks

Nice and shiny brown fur, big eyes, long eyelashes... I am the "most beautiful cow winner" - Juanshan cow.

I could have relied on my appearance, but I had to rely on strength. The milk we produce is thick, with an average fat content of 3.6% compared to regular milk, a milk fat rate of 4.6%, and a higher protein content, making it ideal for dairy products such as butter, cheese and ice cream.

Although the milk production is not as good as Holstein milk, because of our small size, the milk production is also very impressive, and we have won the "most efficient" cow award.

Ayrshire

Lively cows with super adaptability

As a strong competitor to Juanshan cattle, our Elsha cattle are also considered to be one of the most beautiful dairy breeds.

Originally living in Elshire, England, but because of its adaptability, we can now be seen in almost all the farms in the world. Our milk is rich in protein and the milk fat/protein ratio is ideal, which is very much in line with modern people's preferences for milk.

The super adaptable and lively cows, unlike most of the docile cows, our personalities are more lively

Trivia: Elsia cows can sleep standing up!

Probably the oldest cow in the world

I am the "elder" of the dairy family, the Swiss brown cow. We are recorded as early as 400 BC and are probably the oldest cows in the world.

Although the name is Swiss "brown" cattle, our fur color may also be gray, even black and white. Originally living in the Swiss Alps, he now lives in many pastures in the United States and Australia.

We have big furry ears and docile personalities. Due to the high protein/fat ratio in milk, our milk is also a good ingredient for Swiss cheese.

5

Milking Shorthorn

The all-rounder among the cows

As an all-rounder of cattle, our milk shorthorns can produce milk, provide delicious beef, and even be strong enough to pull a cart.

We originally lived in the north-east of the United Kingdom, and now we also live on ranches in the United States, Australia and other countries.

6

Guernsey

A2 "Noble Cow" with the highest share of milk production

In terms of appearance, we may not be as good as Juanshan cattle; in terms of milk production, we are not as good as Holstein cattle. But when it comes to milk nutrition, we don't lose any cattle.

Our milk is rich in protein, milk fat, vitamin D, vitamin A and calcium. Because of this, we are also known as "noble cows".

Trivia: The Gensai cow is also the breed with the highest proportion of A2 milk production of all dairy cows.

Therefore, in addition to biological classification, cows are also divided into A1 and A2 cows according to the β casein contained in the milk produced by the cows.
