Background of the event
Guyu is the 6th of the 24 solar terms and the last solar term of spring. Dou Zhichen, the ecliptic longitude of the sun is 30°, and the festival is held on April 19-21 of the Gregorian calendar every year. The valley rain is taken from the meaning of "rain gives birth to a hundred grains", at this time the precipitation increases significantly, the seedlings in the field are initially planted, the new crops are planted, and the most need for the moisture of the rain, the rainfall is sufficient and timely, and the cereal crops can thrive. Guyu, like the rain, Xiaoman, Xiaoxue, heavy snow and other solar terms, is a solar term that reflects the phenomenon of precipitation, and is a reflection of the festival in ancient farming culture.
During the rainy season, it tends to start to rain significantly in southern China, and especially in southern China, once the cold air meets the warm and humid air, it often forms a longer period of rainy weather. The Qinling-Huaihe River is a transitional area between the spring rains in the south and the spring drought areas in the north, and the spring rains decrease sharply from the vicinity of the Qinling-Huaihe River to the north. In the northern region, the valley rain is a symbol of "final frost".
Spring rain is the most important feature of valley rain. The name of the solar term "Gu Yu" is derived from the ancient saying that "rain gives birth to a hundred grains", reflecting the agro-climatic significance of the solar term. Folk have customs such as picking grain rain tea, walking valley rain, sacrificing to the sea, eating spring, and appreciating flowers in the valley rain solar term.
In order to promote traditional Chinese culture and guide the public to better understand and experience the cultural connotation of the Guyu solar term, the library specially organizes a cultural activity with the theme of "Spring Moistening Guyu and Infiltrating the Fragrance of Books". The event aims to enhance readers' awareness of the Guyu solar terms through various forms of activities, promote the inheritance and innovation of traditional culture, and enrich the cultural life of the public.

Pingu rain tea
There is a custom of picking tea in the south of Guyu, and Guyu tea is also tea before rain, which is the spring tea picked in the rainy season, also called Erchun tea. Legend has it that Gu Yu's tea on this day will clear the fire, ward off evil spirits, and brighten the eyes. Therefore, no matter what the weather is on this day of Gu Yu, people will go to the tea mountain to pick some new tea and come back to make water. Tea is prepared at Wanda Shopping Mall, and participants can receive it for free.

Legend has it that Cangjie created words, covering the world, and the Yellow Emperor was moved by it, and took "the rain of grain from the sky" as the reward for his word-making, and since then there has been a "valley rain" festival. Cangjie created a total of 28 ancient Chinese characters (戊己甲B, the first common friend, the world stopped, the style of the light name, the left mutual family, by the Chishui Zun, Gemao axe Fu) This round of the game will be related to these 28 characters.
