If she had followed up on the question, I would have said, "The time has not come!" I'm not shirking, it's not that I don't want to help, it's really that the time hasn't come yet.
Think about it, when you ask a question like this, what will happen if I tell you the answer?
There are four results:
First, if you agree with what I say, and I am an authority, you may have in your heart "The authority says that I am such a person! How am I such a person? I am such a bad person!"
Second, you don't agree with what I say, you feel that what I said is wrong, and there is resistance in your heart, and there will be a huge distrust between us, and when you don't believe what I say, you may be far away from the truth, and at the same time, you may never accept the truth again and hinder your own growth.
Thirdly, for the answer I told you, you don't pay attention to the truth itself, and you have a lot of thoughts in your mind to analyze, "Why am I the way I am, how am I not like this?" instead of feeling yourself, looking at yourself, accepting yourself, growing yourself.
Fourth, what I said is directed at your heart, in this process, I must consider whether the surrounding environment will cause harm to your growth this time, whether the people around you can form an accepting environment to give you warmth and strength, whether the time is enough, and must not give up halfway, uncover the scar without healing and let it re-scar on its own, that process will make the person concerned particularly painful, it is irresponsible.
Because what we want to do is not to use our analysis, judgment and summary to impose on others, let alone to guide people to analyze, judge and summarize to grow and solve problems by ourselves, what we have to do is to help more lives to see through our own vision of life.
Analyze, judge and summarize on the basis of seeing, let yourself grow and solve problems. Seeing is the premise and core, and analysis and judgment are the auxiliary. This is what we call "the heart is in front, the brain is in the back".
In fact, it is not easy to do our industry, I sometimes jokingly say "we are a high-risk industry", we are doing people's work, if we cause problems because of our own improper disposal, I will have a huge self-condemnation in my heart, and I can never simply use "mistakes are treasures" to "look up to the sky and smile", because the problem is not "things" but "people's hearts".
At the same time, the important reason for the "high risk" of our industry is that only when the people being helped really benefit, they will thank and trust you from the bottom of their hearts.
I've been through so much over the years. Only by constantly "refining one's heart in love", allowing one's inner world to grow continuously, and making oneself more warm and powerful, can we better help others.
Where is our high danger? In our own hearts! Constantly cultivate ourselves, let ourselves see life, and then guide life to see ourselves and see the truth. Among them, the most feared thing is that professionals do not see but constantly analyze, judge and summarize, and impose their own analysis, judgment and summary on students. Among them, the most feared thing is that professionals guide students to analyze, judge and summarize, but do not guide students to see.
In the past few days, I have been in Chiang Mai, Thailand, and I am taking the "Chiang Mai Education Expedition and Small Training Tour in Thailand", and all the members who participated in this training group did not know that I was going to lead this group in person, and this group was what I asked to do, I was afraid that it would be announced, and there were too many people who signed up.
This group is another upgraded version of the "New Zealand Educational Expedition and Small Study Tour", and in the future, there will be more such distinctive, small, in-depth, and self-led training activities, and I will bring out more people who are willing to contribute to this society and people who are willing to become professionals to help others.
In the past few days of training, I believe that every student who participated in the training has understood a particularly important truth - "not to analyze, not to judge, not to summarize, but to see, to analyze, to judge, and to summarize on the basis of seeing". In the evening training, everyone who participated in the study saw themselves, the truth, and others, and the gains were huge.
Analysis, judgment and summary are actually the "brain" in action, all logic, all thinking, are not real vipassana and growth, beware of many people take the richness of knowledge and the correctness of logic as the whole of life growth, this kind of "appearance" will lead people astray.
And the process of seeing is in the real environment, in the real happening, in the real feeling, in the real experience, our "heart" is moved. When my heart is moved, I really see it. When your heart is moved, love can flow through your body, and faith will grow in your heart. When the warmth of love and the power of faith flow through your body, you truly grow.
The "seeing" after the "heartbeat" and the "heartbeat" after "seeing" are both okay. How can we move and see?
The first kind of "learning", this is the easiest way and the most difficult method, because people's inertia will make people like to think and not put into action, even if they put into action, they can not insist on putting into action, through continuous learning to "practice", only "practice" will have a heartbeat, do not "only learn but not do", learning is knowledge, is logic, practice is practice and practice, only practice and practice can have the opportunity to move, to see.
The second is "soaking in love, truth produces power", when we soak in love, our hearts will slowly wake up, we will slowly believe, to be true, to express. When we are true in love, when we don't feel laughed at, ignored, or unaccepted, love flows through our bodies, and we grow through each other's sights, each other's warmth, and each other's beliefs. This method is slow, waiting for a sudden day to come.
The third is "dedication in vipassana", dedication is love, but there are only a few people who really have the ability to love, so we should continue to see what is the real needs of the inner world behind our dedication through the external act of "dedication"? When we dedicate to our children, do we want our children to meet our inner needs? When we dedicate to our lovers, do we want to control and ask our lovers to act according to our own inner needs? When we see that our inner world is full of demanding, we can truly see what kind of person we are. In devotion, Vipassana is not dedication at all, but vipassana.
The fourth and most effective method is to use all three methods consistently throughout your life.
To sum it up, it is still the same sentence: "Temper your heart in love". These seven words hide a great secret, and this secret guides us to see life, to see the truth. "In love" is the environment, only in the environment of love, people dare to be true, only truth can produce strength, only the strength in the heart can dare to be true. "History" is not "doing things", but looking at oneself and seeing the truth in continuous work, especially in doing things of dedication. "Refining the mind" means "learning" means "growing and cultivating".
Again, the process of life growth is the process of seeing life and the truth, and only on the basis of seeing can we analyze, judge and summarize meaningfully. "Seeing" is the core, the premise, and the direction, and everything else serves to "see" and "see later".
