This year, the International Forum on the Decade of Science, the Global Unicorn Enterprise Conference, etc., will be held for the first time, and in addition, at the "Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Collaborative Innovation and High-quality Development Forum", the "Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Science and Technology Innovation Service Platform Map" will also be launched.
This year, 60 parallel forums will be held
As an important part of the forum, the parallel forum will be held by national ministries and commissions, international organizations, Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and other provinces and cities this year, focusing on scientific and technological frontiers and hot topics such as artificial intelligence, space science, life and health, carbon peak and carbon neutrality, and future industries.
Jiang Chonghua, director of the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission and Zhongguancun Management Committee Zhongguancun New Technology and New Product Promotion Division, introduced that national ministries and international science and technology organizations gave strong support to the forum, and the Ministry of Science and Technology hosted 7 parallel forums and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology hosted 6 parallel forums. In addition to the seven ministries and commissions hosting the forum, more than 10 national ministries and commissions, including the Cyberspace Administration of China, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, the Counsellors' Office of the State Council, the National Energy Administration, the All-China Women's Federation, and the National Natural Science Foundation of China, took the lead or participated in hosting 24 parallel forums. 19 international organizations and foreign government departments, including UNESCO, the World Intellectual Property Organization, and the International Association of Science and Technology Parks and Innovation Regions, hosted 17 parallel forums.
Jiang Chonghua said that this year's parallel forum has three major characteristics: First, it has high international participation. This year, parallel forums will be added, such as the "International Forum on the Decade of Science" hosted by UNESCO, the "Global Science and Technology Cluster Innovation Forum" hosted by the World Intellectual Property Organization, the "EU-China Green Transformation and Industrial Cooperation Forum" organized by the International Association of Science and Technology Parks and Innovation Regions, the "Beijing-Macao Science and Technology Innovation Forum" organized by the Macau Federation of Science and Technology, the "Reimagining Healthcare: Innovative Artificial Intelligence Transformation in Medicine" organized by the New England Journal of Medicine, and the "Forum on the Development of World-class Scientific and Technological Journals" hosted by Elsevier.
Second, the theme covers a wide range. This year, forums will be held around the frontier of science and technology, new quality productivity, open ecology, scientific and technological talents, and scientific and technological governance.

On the afternoon of April 25, the "International Forum on Science Decade" will be held in the Wanchun Hall of the Conference Center of Zhongguancun National Independent Innovation Demonstration Zone. The theme of the Forum stems from the resolution adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in August 2023 on the International Decade of Science for Sustainable Development 2024-2033. Tai Liehong, Director of the Development Department of the All-China Women's Federation, introduced that the theme of the 2024 Global Women in Science and Technology Innovation Forum is "Stimulating Her Vitality and Creating New Kinetic Energy". The forum mainly set up four parts: keynote speeches, display of women's style in science and technology, promotion of women's scientific and technological innovation achievements, roundtable dialogue, and the release of the new cycle project of Chunlei science and technology girls.
