Koi fish has the reputation of "living gem in the water", and has high ornamental value and economic benefits. Breeding a koi with positive color and good body shape can be sold for tens of thousands of yuan, or even higher. However, this line of work is very technical, especially to raise a koi fish that can be sold at a good price, it takes a lot of time and energy to maintain it slowly.
Koi fish farming can be found in many places, but it is a new attempt on the side of Xiuwen. According to Xu Xiaowei, they only started breeding koi in April last year, and spent a lot of money to buy the purest koi from outside the province with high market recognition, such as Taisho and Showa, and started breeding from seedlings, learning from the breeding experience of others, and constantly trying to do it themselves. After continuous improvement and innovation, there have been dozens of finished koi fish this year, the largest of which is more than 90 centimeters and weighs about 25 kilograms.
"Farming koi is a bit technical, and the temperature it is most adapted to is 20 to 25 degrees. We're just learning by doing, and we're trying to breed as many varieties as we can. Xu Xiaowei said.
