Xinhua Finance Singapore, April 19 (Reporter Liu Chuntao) Galaxy Overseas (CGS International, China Galaxy International Securities Pte Ltd) brand was officially launched in Singapore on the 18th. At the press conference, Galaxy Overseas unveiled its long-term vision to become a leading investment bank and one of the first financial institutions to be rooted in Asia, and set a development goal for 2030.

In 2018, China Galaxy Securities acquired the securities business of Malaysia's CIMB Group to establish a joint venture, CGS-CIMB. In December 2023, China Galaxy Securities achieved 100% stake in CGS-CIMB, and CGS-CIMB changed its name to CGS-CIMB Overseas. On April 18, 2024, Galaxy Securities successfully held a rebranding event in Singapore, and the "Galaxy Overseas" brand was officially unveiled.
More than 300 guests, including Zong Changqing, Minister Counsellor of the Economic and Commercial Office of the Chinese Embassy in Singapore, and Tan Zhiyong, President of the Chinese Enterprise (Singapore) Association, attended the brand launch event.
According to reports, Galaxy Overseas has a history of 45 years in Asia, under the new management structure, China Galaxy Securities vigorously supports Galaxy Overseas to carry out high-quality, diversified and localized operations, promote the coordinated development of domestic and foreign business, carry out brand building and cultural integration, and empower Southeast Asia business in an all-round way, deepen customer sharing and expansion, product innovation and linkage. Focusing on the concept of customer first, Galaxy Overseas has established a comprehensive product and service system, including wealth management, investment banking and asset management business, and promotes cross-border cooperation at home and abroad.

In 2022, China Galaxy Securities and CSOP Asset Management jointly launched the world's first Asia-Pacific low-carbon ETF in Singapore, becoming the first China-Singapore cross-listed ETF product. In 2023, China Galaxy Securities partnered with Wells Fargo Fund Management to launch the first Vietnam-themed ETF on the SGX, setting a record for the highest amount of ETF raised on the Stock Exchange in 2023, and launched the China Galaxy Securities Wells Fargo CSI 1000 ETF, the first ETF product in the Singapore market to track the onshore CSI 1000 Index, providing investors in Southeast Asia and around the world with new opportunities to invest in A-share growth stocks.
