The first-generation Changan Yidong was launched in March 2012 and launched an all-electric version in 2015. At the beginning of 2018, the second-generation model was launched, including two models: eMotion and eMotion DT. In 2024, Changan Yidong ushered in the third generation of the model, with the exterior and interior design more close to the aesthetic needs of current users, and equipped with a new 1.5T power.
In terms of appearance, the design of Changan's third-generation Yidong is basically the same as that of Changan Yida, with a borderless grille at the front of the car, with a slender LED headlight cluster, a geometric shape formed after the daytime running lights are lit, and there are aerodynamic channels under both sides of the grille. On the side of the body, the third-generation eMotion is surrounded by a clean and sleek silhouette and is also equipped with the popular hidden door handles.

In terms of dimensions, the length, width and height of the third-generation edo are 4770/1840/1440 mm, and the wheelbase is 2765 mm. Compared to the second-generation model, the third-generation model is 40 mm longer, 20 mm wider, 65 mm lower in height and 65 mm longer in wheelbase.
In terms of interior, Changan's third-generation eMotion provides a 10.25-inch floating rectangular LCD instrument cluster and a vertically arranged 13.2-inch central control screen, and the overall brown color matching is more in line with the current design trend of new energy vehicles. The car is also equipped with a flat-bottomed two-spoke steering wheel, rear air conditioning vents, ambient lighting, and air conditioning vents in the hidden center console, while the gear lever is similar to that of the UNI-V.
In terms of power, Changan's third-generation edo is equipped with a 1.5T engine with a maximum power of 125 kilowatts and a peak torque of 260 Nm, and the transmission system is matched with a 7-speed wet dual-clutch gearbox, with a WLTC comprehensive fuel consumption of 6.14 liters per 100 kilometers.

As a product that has been on the market for more than 10 years, Changan Yidong's sales performance is relatively stable, although what can be seen so far is still the sales data of the second-generation model, but in the past year, Changan Yidong's cumulative sales have exceeded 160,000 units, second only to Sylphy, Lavida, Suteng, Civic, Corolla and other joint venture brand models in the same level of fuel vehicles, but compared with the top models, there is still a more obvious sales gap. In addition, with the emergence of new energy vehicles such as Qin PLUS DM-i and AION S in recent years, it has further squeezed the market space of Changan Yidong.
