The picture shows the idyllic scenery of the Niya.

At the beginning of April, the frozen rivers and lakes of northern Tibet revived, and the fluttering snowflakes turned the grasslands into vast snowy fields, making it difficult to find traces of spring.

But there is one place, where peach blossoms bloom all over the hillside, the farmland renders new green, the spring breeze blows the heart, and the whole canyon is full of spring.

Here, it is Niwu Township, Jiali County, Nagqu City!

Here, there is the earliest spring in northern Tibet!

Look – the texture of spring

From Bagai Township along the Yigong Zangbo traced up, the 50-kilometer journey took nearly 3 hours, the road conditions are indeed not good, but the scenery is absolutely beautiful - the distant mountains are surrounded by clouds and mist, the stream in the ears is murmuring, the greenery outside the window is blowing, the peach blossoms and azaleas in full bloom on the cliffs beside the road are fragrant, and the vitality of the flowers is concretizing the spring.

The spring road rain is icing flowers, and the flowers move a mountain of spring. In this way, walking through the canyon, indulging in the water and mountains, to a slightly open place, borrowing the perspective of the drone, you can see that this is the place where the Xiaqu flowing from the direction of Jinling Township, Bianba County flows into the Yigong Zangbu. The upper reaches of the Yigong Zangpo are marked on the map as Niya Zangpo.

In this way, the Niwu is presented to us with the natural texture of the confluence of the river.

The nunnery is divided into upper and lower nunnery. Dozens of kilometers along the Niwu Zangbo all the way, you will come to the Shangnwu, where the two mountains on the bank are lush with vegetation, pines and cypresses, and herds of cattle and horses. But the most surprising thing is the Iga Falls and the Iga Glacier, the Iga Falls cascade down into the Niya Zangbo, the Iga Glacier looks like a wedding dress floating in the mountains from a distance, and up close it is obvious that the glacier melts to form a mountain section.

Standing halfway up the mountain and looking at the glacier, I was shocked that the texture of nature was so clearly presented, and behind the mountain is Gongbu Jiangda County, Nyingchi City, where it is said that there was an ancient road to go in the past, but now it is no longer walked. Judging from the satellite map, this glacier is not far from the famous Basungco, which makes people sigh that Basunco has become a popular tourist attraction in Nyingchi, while the Yiga Glacier is still hidden in the valleys of northern Tibet.

The location of Niwu Township is generally called Xia Niwu, which is an open valley surrounded by snow-capped mountains, and the layers are full of peach trees.

Along the winding peach blossom road in the village, we chatted with the villagers and walked towards the spring fields. The drone took off in the field, and the images we captured made us jump in amazement - the fields on the slopes have different shapes and distinct textures, some like a specimen with intact leaf veins, some like abstract paintings drawn by children, and some like delicately cut fans...... The freshly sown fields are a restrained dark brown, the winter wheat sown last winter is tender and fresh green, and the peach blossoms with buds on the ridges are brownish-pink.

Niwu, at this moment, presents us with the most beautiful texture of spring, which is the trajectory of people's hard work, and it is a field full of hope!

Listen – the sound of spring

People are diligent and spring comes early, and spring returns to the land and is busy with farming.

The spring breeze between the mountains and valleys of Niwu seems to remind us of the busyness of spring, and the farmland and villages in the open valley complement each other, and the fields present a lively scene, and the sounds of spring are accompanied by the whirring wind.

There is the sound of the engine overhauling agricultural machinery at the entrance of the village, and the busiest time for spring plowing in the past few days, several villagers are overhauling their own tractors, seeders and other agricultural machinery, starting and checking over and over again. During the greetings, they said that with the help of these agricultural machinery, field farming is now more and more worry-free and labor-saving. Because of this, many times a year during the busy farming, we will overhaul and try to eliminate all hidden faults, so that these "good helpers" can show their skills in the field.

Walking through the village, I heard the sound of noisy chatting and building a wall from a distance, and it turned out that the Qiangba family was building a fence for the orchard. "The apple trees in the yard have sprouted, and in order to prevent the cattle from eating them, we have made the fence higher with stones to prevent everything that would affect the apple harvest. Qiangba smiled heartily, "Last year, our family earned a total of 40,000 yuan from selling apples, and the plan for a year lies in the spring, and we must make full preparations now, and this year's harvest will definitely be better!" During the chat, Qiangba took out a basket of home-grown apples from home and distributed them to everyone, the crimson apples shone seductively in the sun, exuding the sweet smell of spring.

"Boom, boom, boom......" The roar of the rotary tiller resounded through the field, and the reporter followed the sound to the field, and the little white dog of the villager Qu Mei Renzeng's family also followed us, barking in the spring field to find the owner.

A red rotary tiller stopped next to the field, Qu Meirenzeng changed the plowshare, while sighing the convenience brought by technology: "In the past, the cultivation of land relied on livestock, which was time-consuming and labor-intensive, but now the rotary tiller has finished ploughing the land, listening to the rumbling sound of the machine, I feel very happy, as if to say that the spring of our Niwu is particularly beautiful, and our life will definitely be happier!"

The whirring of the wind, the clattering of walls, the roar of rotary tillers, the laughter of villagers, the barking of dogs, the mooing of cows, the bleating of sheep...... The sound of spring echoes in the beautiful Niwu Canyon, playing a simple and gorgeous symphony of spring!

Tell the story of spring

There are many stories about Niya, the most famous of which are the legends about the wild men.

Under the leadership of the township cadre Pudan, we walked to the easternmost end of the Xia Niwu, on the thorny hillside, there are two walls built with huge rocks not far apart, the largest stone is about 2 meters long and nearly 1.5 meters high.

This site is called "Ziba Yesong", and legend has it that it was built by "wild men".

Legend has it that a long time ago, a group of people escaped to the nun house and settled here. As everyone knows, there are aborigines here, that is, "wild people" - wild people are huge in size and have great strength, and they are especially willing to imitate the work of outsiders, such as seeing this group of people building a wall during the day, and piling up this wall with huge rocks at night......

"It's not just 'savages' in Niwu, 'King Gesar' likes it too!" Pudan tells us that according to legend, the Yiga Glacier and the Yiga Waterfall are related to King Gesar.

Although the story is undocumented, it also vaguely outlines the past of Nunwu's interactions with the outside world.

Next to the Yiga Glacier, we met "Lao Du", a "Niwu man" who spoke both Tibetan and Sichuan dialect very well.

In the spring of 1994, he was 31 years old when he went to Niwu from his hometown in Sichuan to work in Niwu, and was injured in the leg when he participated in the construction of the power station. Because of the inconvenient transportation and rugged mountain roads at that time, he borrowed to live in a local farmer's house to recuperate, and fell in love and married a Tibetan girl who took care of him, and conceived two children, both of whom are now married separately.

In the past 30 years, the peach blossoms have been red 30 times, Lao Du's children have made a trip, lived happily, opened a farmhouse, business is booming, and it has been completely integrated into the nun house. "In my most difficult time, Niwu accepted me, took care of me, and gave me sincere love and happiness, Niwu is the most beautiful place in my heart!"

On the ridge of the lower Niwu, 35-year-old Tashi Wangmu is doing farm work with a villager she knows well, she married here from Bagai Township, Bomi County, and has been living in Niwu for seven years. "Like the bagai, they are all farming-oriented, the climate is similar, the people are very welcoming, and my neighbors and I often dig cordyceps, pick matsutake mushrooms, and do farm work, and I feel very happy!"

Traffic, beauty and happiness are the main themes of the story of Niwu.

When we were about to leave Niwu, there was also a spring wedding, and the first prize winner of the "Pugu Qumu" tourism ambassador competition in Nagqu City, Ram from Niwu Township, entered the palace of marriage.

Under the snow-capped mountains, in the peach forests, in the fields, and next to the villages, the spring of the Niwu is so grand and beautiful, all kinds of customs are blended and intertwined, and the spring colors and spring sounds are all-encompassing, showing the warmth, enthusiasm, romance and tolerance of the world to the fullest.

This is the earliest spring in northern Tibet!
