Prevention of Juvenile Delinquency Act
• The newly revised Law of the People's Republic of China on the Protection of Minors and the Law of the People's Republic of China on the Prevention of Juvenile Delinquency came into force on 1 June 2021.
• The Law on the Protection of Minors focuses on the protection of the legitimate rights and interests of minors, and the Law on the Prevention of Juvenile Delinquency focuses on the prevention and correction of undesirable behaviors, illegal acts and criminal acts.
• In recent years, school bullying, child sexual abuse, Internet addiction and other related issues have frequently entered the public eye and attracted more and more attention. The newly revised Law on the Protection of Minors has formulated and improved a series of relevant systems and measures, such as clarifying the national guardianship system, establishing a school bullying prevention and control system, and a system for employment inquiries and prohibitions.
