After a wave of "bombardment" by BYD's "Glory Family", BYD Dynasty finally wants to release a new model Qin L. It is reported that the Qin L will be equipped with BYD's fifth-generation DM-i hybrid technology, and is expected to be officially unveiled at the Beijing Auto Show, which opens on April 25.
In terms of appearance, Qin L still adopts the unique dragon face design concept of Dynasty Network, with a polygonal grille on the front face, embedded dot matrix silver trim, and air ducts on both sides, which makes the front face look very open and sporty. The shape of the headlights is more slender and looks very sharp, and the shape of the entire front face is more tense than that of Qin PLUS. On the side of the body, the waistline that runs through the headlight cluster crosses the body, the lower part of the door is also concave, and the door handles are still in the traditional design. At the rear of the car, the Qin L adopts the same "Chinese knot" shape taillights as the Song L, and uses a through-type design. There is also an illuminated "BYD" logo in English under the taillights. The rear surround is blackened and decorated with a semi-surround silver trim strip, which is significantly more youthful and stylish than the current model of Dynasty.
The length, width and height of the Qin L are 4830/1900/1495mm and the wheelbase is 2790mm, while the length, width and height of the Qin PLUS DM-i are 4765/1837/1495mm and the wheelbase is 2718mm. From the comparison of these two sets of data, the body size of the Qin L has indeed improved, which can be understood as an enlarged version of the Qin PLUS DM-i.
According to the previously exposed interior maps, the Qin L is expected to be equipped with a large-size floating central control screen, LCD instrument cluster and HUD head-up display.
The new model will be powered by a fifth-generation DM-i hybrid system consisting of a 1.5-liter engine and an electric motor, with a maximum engine power of 74kW and an electric motor available in 120kW and 160kW. In the WLTC mode, the Qin L has an all-electric range of 60km and 90km.
