In the Xiaolin peach orchard in Shangliangtou Village, there are more than 20 varieties of peach trees, which are covered with thick felt, which can not only effectively block the cold air and keep the internal temperature relatively stable, but also have good air permeability, which can prevent the peach trees from being affected by excessive moisture.
As the temperature gradually rises, the villagers also begin to remove the felt from the peach trees, and new shoots are sprouting from the branches.
"In a few days, all the felts in the peach orchard will be removed, and the follow-up will focus on the growth of peach trees to ensure the yield and quality of peaches, and it is expected that the peaches will be ready for picking in June." Grower Zhang Xueqin said.
Next to the Xiaolin peach orchard, Shan Fucheng planted more than 40 acres of strawberries this year, and the tender green seedlings stood neatly in the field enjoying the sunshine, and Shan Fucheng carefully checked the growth of strawberry seedlings.
"There are more customers who come to Taoyuan to pick, and they want to take advantage of the traffic here to drive the sales of strawberries, and at the same time bring a different picking experience to everyone. Shan Fucheng said.
By continuously promoting the construction of picking bases and check-in points, Shangliangtou Village has enhanced the attractiveness of rural characteristics, integrated tourism with the planting and breeding industries in the village, and allowed farmers to taste the sweetness brought by the combination of agriculture and tourism, and the development of rural tourism economy has become more and more prosperous.
"While allowing tourists to enjoy the fun of picking, it has also brought a boom to rural tourism consumption, hoping to drive the sales of agricultural and sideline products such as cattle and mutton in the village through picking.
