In Yongchang in April, everything is flourishing. In the past few days, more than 2,000 party members, cadres and workers in Yongchang County have gone to Maobula Beach in Hongshan Yao Town to carry out voluntary tree planting activities, setting off an upsurge of voluntary tree planting.
At the tree planting site, the party members and cadres were full of enthusiasm, two people in a group or three or five partners, with a clear division of labor and tacit understanding, some helped the seedlings, some shoveled the soil, some watered, and everyone completed each process meticulously.
Chen Wei, a staff member of the County Medical Security Bureau: Today we came to Maobula Beach to participate in the county's voluntary tree planting activities, our unit came to more than 20 people, a total of more than 500 trees planted, everyone came here full of enthusiasm, not only exercised, but also contributed to the construction of ecological civilization in Yongchang.
In the tree planting activities, our county adheres to the scientific greening throughout the whole process of "tree planting + management and protection" to ensure that afforestation and greening are planted one by one, and planted one by one. To this end, the county natural resources bureau specially selected technicians to explain the key points of tree planting operations on the spot, and track and guide the tree planting work throughout the process.
Zhang Lixia, a staff member of the County Natural Resources Bureau: This year, we plan to plant Wenguan fruit on the Maula Beach, and we chose this tree species because it is very suitable for planting in desertification and places with little rainfall. It is an excellent tree species with economic value, ecological benefits and ornamental value.
Carrying out voluntary tree planting activities not only beautifies the ecological environment, but also enhances the ecological concept and environmental protection awareness of cadres and workers. In recent years, our county has adhered to ecological priority and green development, relying on projects such as the sixth phase of the three norths and land greening, afforestation, grass planting, and forest tending, and writing ecological articles and drawing ecological pictures with practical actions.
Chang Ruiqian, deputy director of the county natural resources bureau: This year, in accordance with the requirements of the county party committee and county government's scientific greening, we have a total of more than 37,000 acres of land, including 27,000 acres of shrubs and 10,000 acres of arbors. The main tree species of the tree is the crown fruit, and the shrubs are all H. ammodendron, and these two tree species can grow naturally and not die under the rainfall of 180 mm. The shuttle trees are mainly in the Liuba Beach, where there are more than 27,000 acres of land, and here are 10,000 acres of Wenguan fruit.
