"The 220 thousand volt Houzimen substation was completed and put into use, which will become the first fully underground 220 thousand volt substation in the western part of the mainland. Since its official launch in January 2022, more than 60 projects have been put into operation, and the power supply capacity of Chengdu Power Grid will be increased to 18.8 million kVA in 2023, promoting the development of Chengdu Power Grid to a new level. The substation began to be planned in the early 90s of the 20th century, which lasted more than 30 years, from the project to the construction of the site, the main leaders of Chengdu held more than 30 special meetings, and the relevant departments of the municipal government held more than 300 coordination meetings, and the substation deep foundation pit project was officially constructed at the end of December 2019.
The "Tianfu Square-Houzimen" area where the substation is located is located at the intersection of Chengdu's geometric center and axis, and is located in the core area of the world-class "urban cultural complex" and the ancient Shu cultural center of the new urban landmark planned and constructed by Houzimen on the north side of Tianfu Square, Chengdu. The project has a unique location, close to the "Shu Wangfu" cultural relics protection area, and adopts "temporary protection in different places and relocation of the original site" for the cultural relics of the palace wall of the Ming Shu Wangfu within the site of the site, which is the country's first substation construction + cultural relics protection integration construction model.
According to the on-site understanding, the project has a total of four underground floors (the deepest -26 meters), the excavation area of the foundation pit exceeds 3,600 square meters, the total construction area is 1.0658hm2, and the new 240MVA main transformer is 3, 220 thousand volt lines 2, 110 thousand volt lines 12, 10 thousand volt lines 24, after the completion of the project, it will enhance the power supply capacity of the central urban area within the second ring of Chengdu by 75% Its power supply capacity can meet the daily normal electricity consumption of more than 200,000 households, solve the problem that there is no 220 kV core power supply support in the central urban area of Chengdu in the past ten years, further improve the reliability of power supply in the central city of Chengdu, optimize the 110 kV power grid structure in Qingyang District and Jinjiang District, and provide a stronger energy supply guarantee capacity for promoting the economic development of Chengdu City.
Since the start of the project, more than 1,000 people have been invested in the construction, and it has entered the installation and test stage of the main transformer accessories, and the relevant work is expected to be completed in mid-May. "In the future, we will also carry out equipment commissioning, high-voltage testing and other work, and strive to put into operation by the end of June this year to ensure that the 220 thousand volt Houzimen substation will play an expected role during the peak summer of Chengdu power grid.
