Recently, Dalian Zhoushuizi Airport Customs seized 24 bottles of Moutai liquor illegally carried into the country by passengers through the travel inspection channel.
When the customs officer supervised the baggage of passengers on an inbound flight, they found that two pieces of baggage were abnormal through the preliminary machine inspection. Subsequently, the customs officer intercepted the two passengers who were carrying the above-mentioned luggage for customs clearance in the non-declaration channel. After opening the box for inspection, the customs officers seized 24 bottles of Moutai liquor that had been illegally brought into the country and had not been declared to the customs, worth about 80,000 yuan. At present, the customs has handed over the batch of items to the relevant departments for further processing.
Customs Reminder: According to the Regulations of the Customs of the People's Republic of China on the Administration of Baggage and Items of Chinese Passengers Entering and Leaving China (Order No. 58 of the General Administration of Customs), residents of Hong Kong and Macao and mainland residents travelling to and from Hong Kong and Macao for private purposes can bring in a limit of 1 bottle (less than 0.75 liters) of alcoholic beverages above 12 degrees duty-free, and other passengers can carry a limit of 2 bottles (less than 1.5 liters) of alcoholic beverages above 12 degrees duty-free.
