On April 16, the Forestry and Grassland Bureau of Hekou County rescued a national first-class protected animal, the Ubichi bee monkey, from a unit stationed in Hekou.

It has been learned that on the morning of the same day, personnel of a certain unit stationed in Hekou accidentally found a small monkey wandering around the wall of the unit, and in order to prevent it from being harmed, they put it in an iron cage and immediately contacted the staff of the county forestry and grassland bureau.
After receiving the call, the county forestry and grassland bureau sent staff to rescue in time, and after arriving at the scene, the staff confirmed through observation that the monkey was a national first-class protected animal, and there was no obvious external injury, and the health should be fine.

Coincidentally, from April 13th to 14th, some enthusiastic citizens contacted the County Forestry and Grassland Bureau, and they rescued a national second-class protected animal, the spotted owl, and a national second-class protected animal, the eagle owl, at the Beishan Pearl Square and the Hekou Zhucheng Street Farmers' Market.

According to reports, the three nationally protected animals rescued this time have been sent to the County Forestry and Grassland Bureau for further rescue and observation, waiting for the release to be implemented after meeting the release conditions.

If you encounter injured or impaired wild animals, do not choose to rescue or blindly release the animals, please place the animals properly, and call the police in time to wait for rescue or send them to the wildlife rescue station. At the same time, if wild animals under national key protection are illegally hunted or killed, the public security organs will severely punish them in accordance with the law.
