FENDI Casa arrives at Milan Design Week 2024

author:New fashion frontier NFT

During Milan Design Week 2024, FENDI Casa unveils a new chapter that continues to advance the dialogue between design, the choice of raw materials and the craftsmanship of production. In addition, new structural elements have been added to show a strange and uninhibited ingenuity.

Based on the vision of Silvia Venturini Fendi, Creative Director, the FENDI Casa collection focuses on a series of cornerstone concepts: authenticity, which is expressed in the form of continuous refinement, and classicism, which is chosen in FF Embracing the Maison's cherished elements such as logos and iconic textures such as Pequin, the subtle use of materials, the intersection of exclusivity, imagination and exceptional craftsmanship, the search for more quirky pieces, the expansion of the collection, and the exploration of richer details and finishes to reinterpret the brand's codes.

This boutique design project is an innovative interpretation of the FF logo, conceived by Silvia Venturini Fendi and executed by Studio Controvento.

The FENDI logo, which is integrated into the architectural structure and is at the heart of the brand's visual language, has been used to create a light partition that divides the space, creating a bright and pure atmosphere in very light whites, neutrals and natural tones, and the design of the new product is the absolute focus.

The FENDI Casa 2024 collection includes new products that complement existing collections, creating a world of possibilities.

The new FENDI F-Affair modular sofa, designed by Studio Controvento, transforms the FF logo into a three-dimensional element, like a set of precisely fitted building blocks. Pure design is like a game of materials and colours, and the finishes of each part can be chosen to suit your needs. The name FENDI F-Affair seems to describe a romantic affair between two F's: chasing, seeking, and hugging each other.

Peter Mabeo's EFO table, unveiled at Design Miami 2021, is one of the foundations of this near-infinite system. The furniture, which was subsequently included in the FENDI Casa collection, was presented this year with a new design: for the first time, the soft beveled edge F logo was presented.

F-Stripes, designed by Ludovica Serafini + Roberto Palomba, is another new sofa that stands out for its high-end, linear appearance and outstanding comfort, with refined details: the wide leather straps that make up the main body are topstitched in the same colour, the angular and gentle cushions, the feet that taper from top to bottom, and the metal ends of the vertical structural parts engraved with the FF logo. Archival decorative elements in natural neutral tones.

The Sohoft, also a new product, is based on the Soho sofa and has a more casual style, while designer Toan Nguyen retains the characteristics of the prototype: a fully modular construction and a pure fabric version. The more casual style contrasts the linear design with the ultra-soft, natural form of goose down. The leather straps at the base and the fine leather trim that define and define the sofa silhouette accentuate the quality of the details.

Seating elements are complemented by whimsical accessories such as large jewels: the Blow Up sofa by Controvento, with its large and small rings, has been transformed into an armchair, and the Junto side table by Toan Nguyen in glossy and matt metal that can be joined like shirt cufflinks, precisely following the rounded contours of the Sandia sofa and making it easy to place and decorate the living room. There are also two coffee tables in the Sandia collection in different heights: the organic top in metal and the slender metal base that is integrated into the tabletop.

In this sophisticated design atmosphere, the Adiada armchair designed by FFD is rigid but not obtrusive – but rather creates a unique combination effect – thanks to its solid and rustic form, which pays homage to the "original" designs of the influential Brazilian masters of the 20th century. The boxy silhouette and soft cushions combine to create a high-end furniture style.

Two large tables complete the collection: Sigillo FF, still designed by FFD, combines classic shapes with a rich mix of classic shapes and rich materials with a round top and a columnar base: the base is metal and leather, and the lacquered top is made of precious wood, marble or glass. The monogram-like FENDI logo adorns the center of the table, like an ancient symbol.

The second table represents a further evolution of the Arches collection. Originally a circular marble structure, Arches Legs, the masterpiece of Atelier Oï, is now available in a rectangular version, with one leg made of the same material and the other as the free-to-match, creating an infinite number of contrasting combinations.

The FENDI Casa collection is committed to systematic innovation and continuous enrichment of the design variety. Mrs. Matching Thierry Lemaire's Parsifal sofa The Parsifal armchair has a generous shape with two cushions and the iconic Pequin logo on both sides. Following the best-selling Audrey, Stefano Gallizioli offers two more chairs, the Adrian and the Audrette: the first is more boxy, with armrests and armless, and upholstered in fabric or leather, while the second is more lightweight, with a signature arched back and a sleek silhouette.

Cristina Celestino's Ottavia chair welcomes a new sister design, the Lazy Ottavia: a warm and comfortable armchair with a small stool that can also be used as a side table. Available in a variety of finishes, the sheepskin version will be presented at Milan Design Week.

The storage-focused Tiretto collection adds a new functional design, whether it's a sofa bed in the living room or a small bench that is easy to lie down on.

This year, the FENDI Casa collection is dedicated to discovering design talent by young Belgian designer Jonas Van Put: the FF Kiss coffee table (marble top with Pequin marquetry motif and two curved metal panels forming the base). The Lunar coffee table, with its marble-patterned round top and base made up of a curved sheet of metal and a single leg wrapped in leather, evokes a contrast between natural beauty and asymmetrical coolness.

Other new additions to the collection include a wide range of organiser furniture: the Arpeggio bookcase by FFD, with its slender metal structure that creates a rhythm with the leather or glass panels, and the Nascondino by Stefano Gallizioli, which can be used as both a desk and a dressing table, exudes retro elegance and is in line with contemporary design trends. There are also two classic multi-drawer cabinets with a strong personality: one by Maglia from Atelier Oï, where the individual parts are shaped like chain links, and the other by FFD, the Tiretto cabinet, with a logo button on the handle of the leather drawers, which exudes a sense of luxury in a rigorous and precise overall structure.

The lighting category, which is never absent, also has new designs. The Velum luminaire, designed by Marco Costanzi, is available in two new versions, which can be used as floor/table lamps or reading lamps, and is reimagined in a new and iterative way to explore a richer combination of metal and leather.

In addition, FENDI has launched a new collection of home accessories, creatively directed by Silvia Venturini Fendi, with a strong design imprint on FENDI ready-to-wear and accessories.

Iconic FENDI motifs such as FF, O'Lock logos and Pequin stripes have been transformed into decorative motifs that reflect the brand's identity and craftsmanship. From inlaid logs to hand-woven leather and gold and silver metals, the materials and craftsmanship have been carefully chosen to reflect the luxury of the collection.

Art de la Table tableware is made of the finest French Limoges porcelain, decorated with the FENDI O'Lock logo and elegantly sparkles in gold in a seasonal brick and pink color scheme. A FENDI Art de la Table is enough to transform every cup of tea or coffee into an elegant ritual, while mugs, teapots and cups are adorned with a golden O'Lock logo printed round lid. A set of coloured glasses that light up the table, engraved with the FF logo and vertical stripes that resemble Pequin.

Glass is used throughout the design of the new table decorations. The two-tone blown glass vase is adorned with a Pequin stripe, along with a set of intricate salt and pepper shakers. A round cushion made of hand-woven leather in a brandy or dark chocolate colour with the FENDI Roma logo embossed at the centre. Matching napkins and cup holders, kettles and scented candles complete the collection's artisan story.

There's also a Pequin stripe inlaid wooden box with a shiny double-sided printed lid with the O'Lock logo on one side and the FF logo on the other. The Pequin stripe is a motifin in the collection, which is used in metal vases, trays and inlaid wood frames.

Continuing the high-end quality, the cushions are made of a unique leather and cashmere weaving process, with the FF logo hidden in the criss-crossing textile texture. The leather tray and the round box of different sizes are finished in the same fabric. FF logo double-layered cashmere home textiles come in a neutral palette with the brick red color that is common throughout the collection, including pillows and blankets in different sizes, adding a FENDI-inspired warmth to the room.

The collection is available in FENDI boutiques and fendi.cn worldwide.
