In October 2023, the Central Financial Work Conference emphasized that it is necessary to accelerate the construction of a financial power, unswervingly follow the path of financial development with Chinese characteristics, and the financial system should do a good job in science and technology finance, green finance, inclusive finance, pension finance, and digital finance. On January 16, 2024, General Secretary Xi Jinping emphasized at the seminar on promoting high-quality financial development for major leading cadres at the provincial and ministerial levels that a financial power should be based on a strong economic foundation and have world-leading economic strength, scientific and technological strength and comprehensive national strength, and clarified the six key core elements of a financial power. How should we build a financial power, and how should we promote high-quality economic development through the construction of a financial power? These are the issues of the times facing the financial industry and the major issues that alumni are concerned about.
The School is scheduled to hold the 5th Tsinghua PBC Alumni Development Forum on April 26, 2024 (Friday), with the theme of "Resilience and Recovery: Building a Financial Power to Promote High-quality Economic Development".
