In order to further optimize the payment service for foreign students in China and effectively solve the payment problems of overseas personnel in China, on the afternoon of April 12, the Symposium on Optimizing Payment Services for Foreign Teachers and International Students of Huanghuai University was held in Conference Room 105 of the School of International Education. Leaders and relevant experts from Zhumadian Public Security Bureau, Zhumadian Branch of People's Bank of China, Zhumadian Foreign Exchange Administration, Bank of China Zhumadian Branch, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Zhumadian Branch and other units attended the meeting, Wang Dongyun, vice president of Huanghuai College, leading team and responsible teachers of the School of International Education, and more than 20 foreign teachers and students attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Wang Baoyu, Director of the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation and Dean of the School of International Education.
Wang Baoyu extended a warm welcome to the leaders of the Zhumadian Municipal Public Security Bureau and various financial institutions to visit our school for guidance and exchange, thanked all units for their care, guidance and support for our international exchange work, and briefly introduced the basic situation of foreign teachers and students in our school.
At the meeting, Han Hongji, a police officer of the Exit and Entry Administration Detachment of the Zhumadian Public Security Bureau, introduced the new version of the permanent residence permit "five-star card", the basic knowledge of passports, the facilitation application of the "five-star card" and the policy promotion meeting organized by the company, and explained the specific conditions for applying for the "five-star card" to foreign teachers and students in combination with the actual situation of our school.
Hu Hong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice President of People's Bank of China Zhumadian Branch, interpreted the relevant policies for further optimizing payment services and improving payment convenience, and introduced the phased results achieved in recent work. She stressed that in the next step, we will make every effort to improve and upgrade, solve the problems of payment difficulties and blockages for foreign residents, solidly promote the parallel development and complementarity of bank cards, mobile payment, cash and other payment methods, and make every effort to optimize the work of payment services, so as to provide a more high-quality, efficient, safe and convenient service experience for overseas personnel in China.
During the exchange session, foreign teachers and students shared their experiences and feelings on payment services such as domestic account opening, cross-border remittance, foreign currency exchange, and bank APP use, and raised some common difficulties and problems encountered in bank business. Li Shuai, Vice President of Bank of China Zhumadian Branch, Wang Xiaoqing, Vice President of Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Zhumadian Branch, and various banking business personnel answered questions one by one, and the atmosphere was warm and harmonious. William Ernest Bailey, a foreign teacher from Canada, said, "I am very grateful to the Immigration Bureau and banking institutions for their help during my stay in China!"
Vice President Wang Dongyun expressed his gratitude to the visiting units for their guidance and support. He pointed out that this meeting has built a bridge of multi-party communication and is a "warm" exchange, which effectively solves the practical problems of foreign exchange services for foreign teachers and students.
