On the evening of March 28, 2001, Gong Shouquan, then the head of the First Brigade of the Narcotics Control Department of the Public Security Bureau of Leshan City, Sichuan Province, was suddenly involved in a car accident at the time of arrest of drug dealers at a passenger station near the Minjiang Bridge, and unfortunately died heroically at the age of 42. Gong Shouquan, born in 1958, transferred to the Leshan City Public Security Bureau of Sichuan Province in September 1997, and was awarded the third class merit by the Leshan City Public Security Bureau for 3 times, and was rated as the "Outstanding People's Police of Leshan City" in 2000. In June 2001, Gong Shouquan was approved as a martyr by the Sichuan Provincial Government, and in the same year, he was awarded the title of "National Public Security System Second-Class Hero Model" by the Ministry of Public Security. Gong Shouquan used blood donation and life to protect the quiet years, but he didn't have time to accompany his son Gong Qiang to grow up. The deepest miss is to remember, the best tribute is to inherit, there is an honor called "I will be you when I grow up". Carrying the banner of his father, Gong Qiang became an anti-narcotics policeman of the anti-drug detachment of the Leshan Public Security Bureau.

When he was in the army, he defended his family and the country all the year round and fought on the front line; after he was transferred to another job, he ran to the forefront of the anti-narcotics struggle day and night, leaving early and returning late every day. Watching my mother's weak shoulders carry the burden of the family's life, I always didn't understand what this was for? Until I took the baton in your hand, officially put on the navy blue police uniform, saw the tears and hope in the eyes of the people who came to ask for help, and faced the fierceness in the eyes of the gangsters, I seemed to understand your daily busyness, understand the responsibility on your shoulders and have always persevered. As a result, a resolute and persistent thought sprouted in my mind, and I would firmly follow in my father's footsteps: law enforcement for the people, and peace for the people! After joining the public security team, I have always taken you as the benchmark and done every job in a down-to-earth manner. In my 15 years as a police officer, I have mediated more than 1,500 conflicts and disputes, directly arrested more than 200 criminal suspects, and cracked more than 200 cases. In the "broken card" operation organized by the Ministry of Public Security, I went to many places to defeat a gang with a clear division of labor and clear hierarchies. After joining the anti-narcotics detachment of the Leshan City Public Security Bureau, I have investigated and handled a number of influential cases, arrested 231 suspects of drug-related crimes, smashed 7 drug-related gangs, seized 139 kilograms of various drugs, confiscated 2.48 million yuan of drug money, and seized 9 vehicles involved in the case. Since my work, I have been awarded 2 third-class merits, 15 awards, in 2014 I was named the top ten experts in solving crimes, and in 2015 I was named the top ten outstanding police officers. It is precisely because of the countless revolutionary martyrs like you and your selfless dedication that we have today's peaceful environment and the prosperity of the motherland. I want to carry forward the noble spirit of the martyrs, always be strict with myself, have no regrets, stick to my original intention, love this profession, love this Tibetan blue, love this mission and glory worn on my body, write loyalty to the party and the people with youth and blood, and show the most beautiful style of the people's police in the new era!
