On April 16, the District Science and Technology Bureau launched a pre-competition public welfare training for the 2024 Science Popularization Competition, so that the contestants could deeply learn the skills and essentials of explanation.
During the training, Li Xiaoying from Chongqing Natural History Museum and Huo Jing from Southwest University gave professional and meticulous guidance to the contestants from the aspects of topic selection, material organization, PPT production, and field play through simple examples.
The contestants have expressed that through this training and hard practice, they are confident that they will achieve satisfactory results in the upcoming finals.
It is understood that the popular science contest since its launch in March this year, attracted nearly 100 contestants to participate, after layers of selection, more than 40 contestants stood out and were successfully shortlisted, they will participate in the finals of the popular science contest held on April 18, and finally competed for 2 winners, representing Beibei District to participate in the 11th Chongqing popular science contest.
