The interests of the masses are no trivial matter, and the rectification of corruption will not stop. A few days ago, the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the State Supervision Commission held a meeting to mobilize and make arrangements for the nationwide centralized rectification of unhealthy tendencies and corruption among the masses. Hearing the order, Hunan immediately rolled out a centralized rectification action throughout the province. Shen Xiaoming, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, stressed that this is an important measure and starting point to promote the extension of the anti-corruption struggle to the grassroots level and continuously improve the people's sense of gain, happiness and security.
Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, from the central government to the local government, we have adhered to the principle that there is no forbidden area for "fighting tigers" and zero tolerance for "swatting flies", punishing corruption with the momentum of thunder, and rectifying the "four winds" with perseverance on the road. However, the problems of unhealthy tendencies and corruption among the masses have not disappeared, and it is difficult to eradicate all forms of formalism and bureaucracy in some areas, such as psoriasis, and the phenomena of individual grassroots cadres deliberately making things difficult in the course of service and management, demanding money and even "plucking the feathers of geese" still exist. If left unchecked or ineffective, it will produce a "broken window effect", which will ultimately damage the vital interests of the people, eat away at the masses' sense of gain, and squander the trust of the grassroots masses in the party, thus leading to a "great disaster."
Rectifying the problems of unhealthy tendencies and corruption around the masses is a practical matter that the people are looking forward to and a major matter that has a bearing on the foundation of the party's ruling power. Party committees at all levels in the province should benchmark the requirements of the central government, implement the deployment of the provincial party committee, earnestly fulfill the main responsibility, and combine the centralized rectification action with the study and education of party discipline with a high degree of consciousness of "removing the trouble of the people, such as removing the disease of the heart", and combine it with the empowerment of the grassroots burden reduction and the encouragement of cadres to take responsibility, and pay close attention to rural revitalization, law enforcement and justice, production safety, education and medical care, food safety, ecological and environmental protection, engineering project construction, In the field of sweeping away organized crime and eliminating vice, we should concentrate our efforts on correcting all kinds of unhealthy trends and corruption that harm the interests of the masses, discover and investigate a number of problems that damage the party's image, eat away at the interests of the masses, increase the burden on the grassroots, and slack administration, and respond to the expectations of the masses and improve the people's livelihood and well-being with tangible work results.
We must soberly understand that even if it is "micro-corruption," it is also necessary to "strictly deal with it." This requires all localities and departments to conscientiously carry out the main theme of "strictness" throughout the entire process of selecting and appointing grassroots cadres, daily supervision, handling of duties, education and management, assessment and evaluation, and auditing of cadres leaving office, fill in the loopholes in the system for preventing unhealthy tendencies and corruption, build a protective embankment that does not dare to be corrupt, cannot be corrupted, and does not want to be corrupted, and earnestly carry out "meticulous care" in every link and every aspect that has a bearing on the vital interests of the masses; We should keep a close eye on key areas, key departments, and key links, promptly study and judge the trends and laws of the development and change of unhealthy tendencies and corruption problems around the masses, treat the symptoms appropriately, and prevent them in advance, so that all kinds of "micro-corruption" around the masses have nowhere to hide.
"The small is big, and the cautious is great. As long as all localities and departments spare no effort to rectify the unhealthy tendencies and corruption around the masses and "always blow the trumpet of the charge," we will certainly be able to make the political ecology clearer, the momentum for development stronger, and the masses more satisfied.
