The BMW X2 M35i produced in BMW's Regensburg plant in Germany has been officially launched in China, with a price of 419,900 yuan, and everyone knows that BMW Brilliance will launch the X1 M35Li this year, and this model has just officially appeared in the declaration list of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
From the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's declaration map, we can also see that the overall design of the domestic version of the X1 M35Li is basically the same as the overseas version, as the latest batch of M Performance models, it is equipped with the grid "M" logo, M wheels/calipers, demon ear rearview mirrors and bilateral quad exhaust, the performance model created is very strong.
Let's take a look at the body size, length 4616, width 1845, height 1627mm, wheelbase 2802mm, this data and the current domestic X1 is not much different. In terms of power, it is equipped with a B48A20H engine with a maximum net power of 221kW, which is about 300 horsepower, and the peak torque will be 400 Nm.
From the optional configuration list, there are not too many options, which may also mean that there will not be too many models/configurations to choose from after the X1 M35Li is launched, and almost everything that can be given is standard.
Another is the pricing problem, now the imported BMW X2 is priced at 316,900 ~ 419,900, and the domestic extended X1 is priced at 288,900 ~ 349,900, but you should be clear that the X2 does not have an entry three-cylinder. All things considered, I personally guess that the price of X1 M35Li will also be around 400,000, how much do you think it will sell?
After the X1 M35Li is launched, the main competitor should be Mercedes-Benz's AMG GLB 35, the price of the 24 models is 463,700, and the 2.0T engine output is 306 horsepower / 400 Nm, which is not much different from BMW. BMW has been missing in this area, and it makes sense that BMW wants to make up for this segment. I'm more curious about the fact that upgrading the domestic long shaft to the X1 M35Li can still retain the home attributes, so will it become a "higher power X1", and lose the attributes that should be M Performance?
At present, BMW has M240i, X2 M35i, X3/X4 M40i, Z4 M40i, X7 M60i and i4 M50, i5 M60 and iX M60, 7 series M760Le and i7 M70L and other M Performance models, it seems that it is still relatively complete, if you give M340i another chance, hahaha~
BMW is now paying more and more attention to the expansion of the M Performance model, and has also decentralized many design elements of the M Power, the most obvious is the "M" logo in the kidney grille, the demon ear rearview mirror and the exhaust with a total of four outlets on both sides, which has good and bad practices, the advantage is that the M element can be more widely spread, and the disadvantage is that the sense of exclusivity of the M Power has been weakened to a certain extent.
So a 300 horsepower domestic long-axle BMW X1, is it really what consumers need? It can be said that the vast majority of domestic consumers have identified BMW X1 is a proper family car, lengthened 110mm and other comfort configurations are adjusted for home use, greater horsepower will not make its household attributes fundamentally change, in contrast, I think the interior large space + comfortable luxury configuration is more worthwhile~
