My name is Zhang Xiaoyun and I was born in a small village in China. My family is not wealthy, but my parents are kind and hardworking people, and they did their best to provide for my education, hoping that I could change the fate of the family.
When I was a child, I heard a saying: "Good is rewarded with good, and evil is rewarded with evil". I believe in this sentence and believe that as long as I do good deeds, there will be good rewards. Therefore, since I was a child, I have tried to be a kind person, help the people around me, and do my best to give back to society.
I was admitted to a university in a city, left my hometown, and came to a strange city. At first, I felt a little lonely, but I didn't give up. I study hard and do everything well, hoping to fight for better living conditions for my family.
After graduating from university, I chose to stay in the city and got a good job. Every month, I send a portion of my salary home to help my parents pay off their debts and take care of my younger siblings' school fees. I feel blessed because I believe that my kindness will be rewarded.
However, things didn't go as smoothly as I thought they would. I have encountered a lot of challenges and difficulties in my work, and sometimes I have even been treated unfairly. But I was not discouraged, I still insisted on doing everything well, believing that my kindness would be rewarded eventually.
However, as time passed, I didn't see any good changes. On the contrary, I found myself being used more and more and more neglected. My kindness seems to have become a weakness in the eyes of others, who feel that they are free to be unfair to me.
I began to doubt my beliefs, and I began to wonder if kindness would really be rewarded. I felt as if I had reached a dead end that I couldn't get out of.
Just when I was feeling hopeless, an old man told me a story. The story is about a kind man who has spent his life helping others but in the end he doesn't get anything in return. The old man told me that sometimes good people don't necessarily get good rewards, but their kindness can have a good impact on the world, even if they themselves are not rich.
I think of the people I have helped, and the hope and warmth they have received because of my help. I've learned that kindness doesn't necessarily come back immediately, but it comes back to itself at some point, in some form.
Since then, I've picked myself up and tried to do everything well, believing that my kindness will be rewarded. Even if life is difficult, I am willing to continue to persevere, because I believe that only the unremitting pursuit of life can make a beautiful soul breathe fresh air.
