Yesterday morning, a large number of severe convective clouds entrenched in Sichuan, Hunan, Hubei, and Jiangxi early on, and gradually spread eastward, and began to move into Zhejiang at noon, bringing significant precipitation to central and southern Zhejiang and northern Zhejiang. Quzhou, Lishui, Jinhua and other places have short-term heavy precipitation and local 8-9 individual 10 thunderstorms and gales, Shengzhou once issued a red warning signal for heavy rain (the red warning signal for heavy rain was adjusted to a yellow warning signal for heavy rain at 17:28 on the same day). At 13:43, there was a level 12 gale (33.3 m/s, 1276.1 meters above sea level) at the No. 5 station of Baima Mountain in Suichang, Lishui.

There will still be precipitation in the morning rush hour today, and there is still heavy fog in coastal areas, so it is recommended to go out early and reserve enough time on the road. During the day, especially in the morning, heavy precipitation, thunderstorms and strong winds, and local hail will still appear, among which the rain in Hangzhou Bay, Zhoushan, and Ningbo is particularly strong, and there are heavy to heavy rains locally. From night onwards, the rain will gradually stop in the province. Due to the overlapping of heavy rainfall areas, the local cumulative rainfall is large, the risk of geological disasters is high, and secondary disasters such as landslides and debris flows are prone to occur, so it is necessary to be vigilant and take precautions!

It is worth mentioning that under the influence of strong convection and cold air, the temperature fell yesterday, and the maximum temperature in most parts of Zhejiang bid farewell to 30 °C+, and the word "2" was the first in the whole line. Today's cooling will be more obvious, the highest temperature in northern Zhejiang is about 10 °C lower than yesterday, and the friends in these areas will add some clothes tomorrow to prevent cold!

At present, many places in the southern part of the mainland are suffering from violent convective weather, and the instantaneous wind speed in Dongxiang, Fuzhou, Jiangxi Province reached 12 thunderstorms and gales of 35.9 m/s, breaking the local maximum gust record of 30 m/s. Xin Xin, a meteorological analyst at the China Meteorological Channel, said that this week (April 15-21), the warm and humid airflow will move north wave after wave and encounter cold air from the south, resulting in frequent rainfall in the south, and strong convective weather, from eastern Guizhou to Jiangnan and northern South China, will have more rainfall.

Today, the upper-air trough is moving rapidly eastward, and the heavy precipitation and strong convective weather in the south will weaken the southward pressure. Since the afternoon, the low-altitude convective conditions in Guizhou and Guangxi have improved again, and the unstable energy has increased, and the southern part of Guizhou and the northern part of Guangxi will become concentrated areas of heavy precipitation. The Central Meteorological Observatory continued to issue a blue warning for heavy rain and a yellow warning for severe convective weather at 6 p.m. on April 16.

Tomorrow, as another deeper upper-air trough develops eastward, Guangxi, Guizhou and eastern Sichuan will become areas where heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, strong winds, short-term heavy precipitation and other severe convective weather will be concentrated. In addition, under the influence of factors such as warm and humid airflow northward and hilly terrain, there will also be significant heavy rainfall and strong convective weather in northern Guangdong.

On the 19th, the cold air will rapidly advance eastward to southward, forming a shear over the western part of the Yangtze River to the Huanghuai region, and widespread rain will occur from north China to the south. In particular, the upper-air trough deepens and thickens after the 19th, and may be accompanied by a near-surface cyclone, and the warm and humid airflow strengthens significantly, and the intensity of rainfall and strong convection in the south of the Yangtze River and the central and northern parts of South China will be relatively large.
