1 RS485 input to 2 output solution

1. Background of the program

In the industrial field, the equipment needs to be exchanged and controlled through RS485 communication interface. Multiple control systems or devices in the field often need to obtain data from the same instrumentation equipment, but the equipment with only one RS485 output can only be connected to one device or control system, which brings certain difficulties to data access and management.

The purpose of this paper is to propose a solution for converting one RS485 signal to two outputs, so as to forward one RS485 output signal to two different devices or systems, improve the interaction ability of the devices, and maintain stable and efficient data transmission.

Second, the scheme design

1. Equipment selection

Choose the XL665 wireless converter to convert 1 RS485 signal into 2 output signals.

2. Detailed plan

① 1路RS485 → RS485&LoRa

One RS485 signal, through the XL665 wireless converter, outputs one RS485 signal and one LoRa wireless signal, and connects to two different devices (systems) at the same time.

3. Characteristics of the program

1. The RS485 signal output by the XL665 wireless converter can be connected to any device that supports RS485 and instrument communication protocols;

2. The LoRa signal output by the XL665 wireless converter can be uploaded to the Internet of Things gateway and connected to the monitoring software platform;

3. Maximize the utilization rate of equipment, an RS485 output of industrial field equipment can be connected to two equipment or systems at the same time, make full use of the data output capacity of existing equipment, and improve the utilization rate and efficiency of equipment.
