In the afternoon of the same day, it was raining, Zhang Xiaomei from the Fanjia Community Livelihood Service Station came to provide nursing services for the elderly families as usual. Considering that the rain was heavy at that time and her ability was limited, Zhang Xiaomei did not blindly go into the water, but immediately shouted for help to the nearby village for help. Hearing someone calling for help, Grandma Xia's husband Tang Adao rushed to the river with a bamboo pole, and with the power of the bamboo pole, Grandma Xia slowly moved to the shore. Aunt Tang next door saw this situation and also found a tricycle, and finally with the joint efforts of everyone, Grandma Xia was rescued and sent home.

It turned out that because of the rain that day, the road was muddy, and Grandma Xia's shoes were covered with mud, so she went to the river to wash them, but unexpectedly fell into the river. At the time of the incident, Grandma Xia's 95-year-old mother was resting in bed at home, and her husband was doing farm work, so she didn't hear Grandma Xia's cry for help. Afterwards, according to Grandma Xia's recollection, she had drifted more than 30 meters in the river at that time, and if Zhang Xiaomei hadn't found it in time, the consequences would have been unimaginable.
