On April 16, on the east slope of Nanshou Road of Longding Avenue, the blooming phlox converged into a colorful "sea of flowers", attracting many citizens and tourists to check in and take pictures. It was originally a barren slope formed by the accumulation of muck, and now, at the beginning of April every year, it is full of spring flowers, becoming the largest phlox flower sea in Jinan.
It is understood that the clump phlox flowering period is very long, can bloom from April to December, the phlox has two concentrated opening times, the first is April-May, the second is August-September, compared to spring, the autumn phlox flowers are more colorful. In addition, the clumping phlox flowers can be used as a lawn after they fall, so it is also called a "flowering lawn".
