Among them, "lazy donation" refers to Liu Wencai's forcing people in Yibin to grow opium. Whenever someone did not grow opium on time and in quantity for various reasons, Liu Wencai would collect a "lazy tax" from the peasants based on the original harvest amount. And "donation" refers to his forced requisition of people for the construction of public transportation routes. After the construction was completed, he not only did not pay the laborers, but also collected taxes from the laborers on the grounds that "the completion of the project was a great event."
As the general person in charge of the tax collection in southern Sichuan, even if the people are dissatisfied, they are helpless. Under such extreme levies, taxes in Yibin and other southern Sichuan regions soared, even reaching more than 20 times that of the late Qing Dynasty.
In addition to using clever means in the name of taxes, Liu Wencai will also initiate the collection of taxes. In Jiang Wen's movie "Let the Bullets Fly", there was such a scene: the protagonist gang who went to Goose City in southern Sichuan to take office entered the city in order to loot the money of Goose City. As a result, after some investigation, the master found out that the taxes in Goose City had been received by the previous officials for 90 years.

In 1932, the taxes paid by the people in Yibin had been collected in advance until 1957, which was 25 years in advance. He used the Sichuan army under his command to carry out a thorough raid on the people of Yibin. By issuing the order to "close the door and shoot it", the soldiers openly plundered the wealth of the people, and scooped up millions and dozens of boatloads of valuables for themselves.

In 1933, Liu Wenhui retreated to Xikang because of his defeat in the battle with Liu Xiang. His brother Liu Wencai also lost his previous position and returned to his hometown of Dayi.
Because he came from the same family, although Liu Wencai lost his previous official position and power, he was not punished by Liu Xiang in any way. Even those people's fat and ointment that were illegally looted by various means were recognized by Liu Xiang.
After returning to his hometown with huge assets, Liu Wencai quickly became a local billionaire. Through the money in his hands and the power of his family, Liu Wencai quickly acquired the farmland of the local people by various means. In the means of "Ba Ye Tian", "Buy Flying Field", "Eat Heart Field" and other means, Liu Wencai quickly obtained tens of thousands of acres of fertile land.
He either used his power to forcibly occupy these farmlands in the name of Noda, or forcibly re-signed contracts with landowners through money and took away the land in the hands of tenants, or he surrounded and isolated people's fields and cut off the flow of water from other people's farmlands so that others could transfer them automatically......
Under such endless means, Liu Wencai soon accumulated 10,000 acres of fertile land and became the most well-known landowner in Sichuan. Relying on such strong economic strength, Liu Wencai privately organized a group of "Xiejin Society" with gang members as the core. This gang of bandits was numerous and well-armed, claiming to be a crowd of 100,000 and tens of thousands of guns. In more than 10 districts and counties around Chengdu, Liu Wencai's thugs are all over and are under his control.
Relying on the money and thugs in his hands, Liu Wencai did all kinds of evil and carried out inhumane exploitation of the people of Sichuan. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, the mainland even built a special exhibition hall for it, and Marshal Chen Yi, who was born in Sichuan, personally named the exhibition hall. In the exhibition hall, Liu Wencai beats peasants, dismemberes innocent people, and rapes women. Hundreds of crimes, large and small, are inscribed on the cultural relics "Hundred Sins" for all visitors to see.
In addition to the oppression and encroachment on the peasants, Liu Wencai, as a large landowner, was also a staunch counter-revolutionary. As a family member of a great warlord, he stood firmly on the side of the reactionary camp and carried out a frenzied attack on our party.
In the stage of dominating Yibin, Liu Wencai used the Sichuan army in his hands to massacre the secretary of the district party committee and the alternate secretary of the county party committee of Xufu (ancient name of Yibin) who led the anti-donation activities. In this operation, in addition to the massacre of two leaders, a total of more than 400 communists and innocent people who participated in the anti-donation action were hanged to death.
In 1931, Liu Wencai led people to arrest four members of the Yibin County Party Committee who were at a meeting, as well as a special commissioner of the provincial party committee. Shoot them all. Because one of the cadres broke into Liu Wencai's subordinates and was working in the "Aviation Affairs Department" under his subordinates. This big landlord actually ordered the martyr to be disemboweled, and on the grounds that he "had no conscience," the martyr's heart and liver were taken out and eaten.
During the War of Liberation, Liu Wencai was still fierce and untamable, and launched attacks on the members of our party's Armed Committee in Southwest Sichuan, who were in charge of the liberation cause. Because of the leakage of internal information, Liu Wencai led his landlord forces to raid the site of the committee, and killed the director of the committee in charge of the matter and more than ten cadres including Zhu Hanying, the company commander sent by Yan'an.

Just do it, and soon everyone came to Liu Wencai's grave and began to dig the grave with various tools. After discovering the movement of the people, the old man of the tomb immediately appeared to try to persuade everyone to stop their movements. But in the face of the agitated crowd, where could the old man of the tomb guard succeed in stopping them.
The crowd quickly took the old man under control and continued to dig Liu Wencai's grave. Soon, Liu Wencai's grave was dug up by everyone, and the precious items accompanying the burial were also revealed. Everyone present suddenly became vigilant, took something randomly, and left the scene in a hurry.
Looking at the excavated grave, the old man guarding the tomb was disillusioned. Because he knew that it would not help, he returned home silently afterwards. Four days later, the locals discovered that the old man had committed suicide in his house. After understanding the cause and effect of the incident, the local people speculated that the old man guarding the tomb was probably because he failed to protect Liu Wencai's grave, thinking that he had failed to fulfill his responsibilities, so he committed suicide to apologize.
But is Liu Wencai really worth this old man's doing?
In the eyes of the grave keeper, the answer is clearly worth it. In his eyes, Liu Wencai is not a landlord bully who kills people without blinking, but a good person who saves him and does many good deeds. In fact, in the 90s of the last century, such a realization even began to become popular in Dayi.
