Recently, the Dongsheng police lasted more than 3 months, detected a large case of making and selling fake wine, smashed 6 dens of counterfeit registered trademarks and production of counterfeit registered trademarks, arrested 5 people involved in the case, and the case value was more than 1,000 yuan, destroying a number of criminal networks that have long been entrenched in 2 provinces and cities across the country for the production and sale of fake wine, and fake wine involves Inner Mongolia, Guangdong, Guangxi, Hubei and other provinces and cities across the country.
In January 2024, through multi-party investigation, the police of the Environmental Food and Drug Investigation Brigade of Dongsheng Branch seized more than 3,600 bottles of suspected counterfeit finished liquor from 9 brands, including Kweichow Moutai, Wuliangye, and Jiannanchun, in a tobacco and liquor trading house and warehouse in a community in Dongsheng. After identification, the seized liquor products were all counterfeit registered trademark goods, and the Dongsheng Branch Environmental Food and Drug Investigation Brigade quickly set up a special team to file a case for investigation.
Where does the counterfeit liquor come from? Where is it produced, manufactured, and stored? How is it sold? Who is behind it? A series of questions are before the investigators. The Spring Festival is approaching, the supply and demand of the liquor market are booming, and if the case cannot be solved in time, more innocent people will be victimized. The police handling the case immediately conducted a surprise interrogation of the criminal suspect Wang Mouqiang. According to Wang Mouqiang, in March 2023, when Wang Mouqiang participated in a wine tasting in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, he met several so-called "wine salesmen". Later, Wang Mouqiang knew that the other party was selling counterfeit famous liquor, but still purchased a large number of finished liquor from major well-known brands, and illegally sold it with his father Wang Mouzi in his own tobacco and liquor firm. According to Wang Mouqiang's confession, combined with the investigation police's meticulous and layer-by-layer research and judgment, it was found that its supply lines were located in Shanxi and Guizhou provinces.
On February 28, the task force rushed to Wenshui County, Shanxi Province to carry out in-depth work. In order to avoid startling the snake, the investigating police carried out the investigation with sales calls and logistics delivery clues as the entry point. On March 8, after nearly ten days of tracking and squatting, the investigating police successfully arrested Hu Moufu in the house where he lived. Hu Moufu confessed to the crime of purchasing raw wine and packaging materials, filling fake wine according to the order, transporting it to the delivery den, and then shipping it to all parts of the country for illegal profit. So far, a chain of illegal production and sale of counterfeit wine has been successfully cut off.
After the suspect Hu Moufu was arrested, the investigating police took advantage of the victory to pursue, and rushed to Renhuai City, Guizhou Province one after another, and finally destroyed the fake wine filling den hidden in a remote mountain village on March 20, the suspect Jiang and Yang were all arrested, and more than 400 bottles of high-end liquor products of domestic well-known brands such as Kweichow Moutai were seized at the scene, as well as a large number of wine bottles, wine boxes, anti-counterfeiting logos, packing machines, capping machines and other counterfeit packaging materials and equipment. After interrogation, the criminal suspects Jiang and Yang confessed to the illegal facts of making and selling fake liquor and suspected of producing and selling goods with counterfeit registered trademarks. According to the confession of the two, they purchased raw bulk liquor and fake famous liquor trademarks, packaging, and accessories from the local area, and used shoddy methods to produce and sell a large number of counterfeit high-end brand series liquor, making huge profits from it. Usually, a bottle of (fake) wine costs a few tens of yuan at most, but it is a few hundred yuan when sold, and the most expensive wine of a certain year is more than 10,000 yuan, and the profit is as high as hundreds of times.
At present, the Dongsheng Branch has taken criminal coercive measures against five criminal suspects including Wang Mouqiang, and the case is still being further handled. Tips
