——The No. 7 Primary School of Tiefeng District carried out the activity of "Earthquake Prevention and Emergency Evacuation Drill".
In order to enhance students' awareness of earthquake relief, improve the ability of teachers and students to prevent and resist earthquake disasters, and effectively respond to earthquake disasters, Tiefeng District No. 7 Primary School carried out the "Earthquake Prevention and Risk Avoidance Emergency Evacuation Demonstration Drill" activity. Relevant leaders of the Qiqihar Municipal Emergency Management Bureau (Qiqihar Municipal Earthquake Bureau) and the Office of the District Disaster Reduction Committee participated in the whole process and gave guidance.
Before the event, Comrade Song Xuemei of the Municipal Emergency Management Bureau gave a lecture on earthquake prevention knowledge to the teachers and students, instructing students how to correctly avoid in an earthquake, how to protect important parts such as the head and how to find a safe shelter, which enhanced the students' awareness of earthquake prevention and disaster reduction, and improved their self-protection ability in the face of natural disasters such as earthquakes.
With the exercise instruction issued, within 10 seconds, the students quickly ducked under the desks and chairs, held their heads with their hands, and chose textbooks, schoolbags and other items to protect their heads.
The alarm sounded, and all the students covered their heads with schoolbags under the command of the teacher, lowered their center of gravity and evacuated from the front and back doors of the classroom, and quickly evacuated according to the evacuation route and under the guidance of the teacher when going down the stairs. No pushing or trampling during the evacuation. The evacuation time was 1 minute and 56 seconds. The whole exercise was intense, orderly, scientific and standardized.
Plan ahead and take precautions. This drill further enhanced the awareness of earthquake prevention of all teachers and students, turned abstract safety precautions into concrete practical drills, improved the self-protection and self-rescue skills of teachers and students in response to earthquake disasters, and laid a solid foundation for the creation of a safe campus.
