Lijiang is one of the famous tourist cities in Yunnan, with relatively developed transportation, starting from Lijiang, going all the way to the northwest and finally arriving at Shangri-La County. The whole route runs through National Highway 214, which is known as the most beautiful landscape avenue in western China. Its advantage over other national highways is that the whole road presents rare biodiversity, geological diversity, landscape diversity, rich in nature and history and culture, and unique religious and ethnic minority customs.
2. Scenic spots along the way
Lijiang Old Town, Lijiang Old Town is a large-scale plateau market town. Because the ancient city is located in the Yunnan-Sichuan-Kang-Tibet traffic center, it is an important town on the ancient tea horse road in history, and it is also one of the only two ancient cities in China that has successfully declared the entire ancient city as a world cultural heritage. The water resources in the ancient city are quite abundant, making full use of the convenience of the spring water, so that the water of the Jade River passing through the city is divided into three, three into nine, and then divided into countless canals, so that the main street is beside the river, the alleys are near the canal, and the water flows from house to house, so that the ancient city is quiet and full of vitality, so the old town of Lijiang also has the name of Oriental Venice.

Tiger Leaping Gorge is located in the upper reaches of the Jinsha River in Yunnan, with the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain in the east and the Haba Snow Mountain in the west, making it one of the deepest canyons in the world. Legend has it that the tiger goes down the mountain, with the help of the narrowest tiger leaping stone in the river, it can be crossed in the air, so it is named Tiger Leaping Gorge, Tiger Leaping Gorge is the first big canyon of the Yangtze River.
Tiger Leaping Gorge is divided into three sections: the upper tiger jump, the middle tiger jump, and the lower tiger jump. There is a large viewing platform in the upper tiger leap, which is jokingly called the "middle-aged and elderly viewing activity center", because the difficulty there is almost zero, and the tiger leaping gorge usually walked by travelers is the middle tiger leap and the upper tiger jump.

Xiaozhongdian Town is the southern gate of Shangri-La, located in the traffic point from Shangri-La to Lijiang, and is a must-pass place on the tourist route of Yunnan in northwest Yunnan. Every year, when the flowers bloom, Xiaozhongdian is like a big garden connecting heaven and earth, showing thrilling beauty, attracting a large number of tourists to travel to Xiaozhongdian and enjoy the flowers.
Patches gather on both sides of the road, as if walking through a carpet of flowers, and the sea of flowers makes everyone intoxicated in this dreamlike fairy tale world. There are three good places to enjoy the Xiaozhongdian Flower Sea: Qianhu Mountain, Bigu Tianchi and Yangtang Qu.

The ancient city of Dukezong is the best-preserved and largest group of Tibetan dwellings in China, and is the hub of the Ancient Tea Horse Road. Located in Shangri-La County, Diqing Prefecture, Yunnan Province, the ancient city of Dukezong is an ancient city with a history of more than 1,300 years, which was once a window for cultural exchanges between the Tibetan township in the snowy region and the Yunnan region, and the link between the economy and trade of the Sichuan-Tibet-Yunnan region.
The ancient city of Dukezong is built according to the mountain, the road surface is undulating, it is some old stones that are old and paved with natural terrain, so far, there are still deep horseshoe prints on the stone road, which is the token left by the horse gang to the time.

Pudacuo National Park, known as China's first "national park", is similar to the "Yellowstone National Park" in the United States, rather than many other "forest parks" and "geoparks" in China. Pudacuo is a Sanskrit transliteration, meaning "Zhouhu", which is the original Tibetan name of "Bita Sea". The earliest written records are in Tibetan Buddhist books. It is written in the book: There is a lake named Puda with "eight virtues", which is secluded and has no hustle and bustle, and the lake water is clear and pure. In the middle of the lake is a small pearl-like island of Mandala, surrounded by endless meadows, dotted with various herbs and flowers. The mountains are densely forested with a wide variety of tree species. It can be called a natural "Puda Victory". Walking through the pastures in the woods, the sound of the bells of the horses and the smoke rising from the ranch in the distance seem to be in harmony with the surrounding natural environment. Every summer, the mountains of rhododendrons and many unknown wildflowers compete to bloom, and the scenery is full of birds and flowers, which is intoxicating. The various trees in the primeval forest are in a variety of forms, and the weather is myriad.
Kadan Songzanling Monastery is the largest Tibetan Buddhist monastery in Yunnan Province and the center of the Yellow Sect in the Sichuan-Yunnan region, which plays a pivotal role in the entire Tibetan area and is known as the "Little Potala Palace". The temple is built on the mountain, the shape is like an ancient castle, the collection of Tibetan plastic arts, and also has the name of "Tibetan art museum".

Napa Hai is called "Napatso" in Tibetan, which means "lake behind the forest" in Chinese, and is the largest grassland in the county. Due to the humid climate of the reserve, the grass grows faster than similar areas, and in May every year, the grassland sprouts, while the Napa grassland is already green grass. Herds of cattle and sheep rise and fall along the sea of grass, as if they are rising and falling in the sea. The vast wilderness is full of grassland beauty of "wind blowing grass and seeing cattle and sheep".

Meili Snow Mountain is located between the Nu River and the Lancang River in the middle section of the Hengduan Mountain Range, about 20 kilometers west of Deqin County, Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province, with an average altitude of more than 6,000 meters, and is called the "Thirteen Peaks of Taizi". At the end of autumn and the beginning of spring, at about 8-9 o'clock in the view of Kawagebo Peak, you can see the snow peak, the needles with a white cloud band, the local Tibetans call it "Kawagebo Xianhada". As the sun rises, the cloud bands continue to rise, and at noon the clouds float on the summit of Kawagebo Peak, which is called "Kawagebo umbrella", there are not many opportunities to enjoy this kind of scenery, only those who are destined can have this blessing.
Best time to visit: Spring in the highlands will come later, so the best time to visit is May~July.
Suggested number of days: 6 days, if you choose to hike in Tiger Leaping Gorge and Meili Snow Mountain, you can add 2~4 days to play.
Qianhu Mountain and Bigu Tianchi are excellent camping spots, and camping is an option.
