At about 4 p.m. on April 15, at Guangzhou Railway Station of Guangzhou Metro Line 2, an 86-year-old Abel and his family were carrying suitcases on the escalator when the suitcase suddenly fell backwards and hit Aber, causing Abel to fall on the escalator and hurt the back of his head.
Aber's wife said that the wheels of the suitcase got stuck in the elevator, causing the suitcase to be unstable and hit her husband backwards.
At that time, Ms. Li, who was behind Abo, urgently pressed the elevator to stop, and after the elevator stabilized, she found that the old man was bleeding from the back of his head, and Ms. Li dialed 120 on the spot. The subway staff arrived at the scene within a minute, helped the old man up and stopped the elevator, and helped Ah Bo to stop the bleeding. At 5:15 p.m., medical personnel also arrived at the scene.
It is reported that Ah Bo, a native of Northeast China, came to Guangzhou with his wife to see his daughter and son-in-law, and was about to take the train back to Northeast at 6:25 p.m.
Abel kept saying "it's okay" at the scene, only saying "it's a little painful now", feeling that there was no other impact, and hoping to change the train ticket.
The on-site doctor bandaged Abel and advised him to go to the hospital.
Abo's wife told reporters that they needed to take a 41-hour train from Guangzhou to Changchun, and Abel had agreed to go to the hospital for examination first.
