Iran's "honest promise" retaliation was ineffective, launching a large number of drones and missiles, most of which were intercepted by Israeli air defenses.
Iran claims to have hit Israeli military targets, but Israel has reported only one minor damage and one child seriously injured. There has been speculation that Iran may be deliberately "releasing water" to give an account to its people and help Israel withdraw its troops to quell domestic pressures.
The proof is that Iran, knowing that it is thousands of kilometers away from Israel, still chooses a combination of weapons with a huge speed difference: a ballistic missile takes only 12 minutes, a cruise missile takes 2 hours, and a suicide drone takes 9 hours!
